Interesting, great talk Dr. DiBiasie-Sammons. I invite you to explore Joya de Ceren, a Mayan archeological site in El Salvador, also known as the Pompeii of America, you may find a few graffito there...

I just withdrew my profits a week ago, it was so shocking when I withdrew $32,450 knowing I invested $3,000. I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills 😩

*_Graffito,_* eh? Yeah, I had never heard that term being used before. Always assumed that _graffiti_ is both singular and plural. So I looked it up. Wikipedia says: *Graffiti* (both singular and plural; the singular *_graffito_* is rarely used except in archeology) ... Fair enough. So my next doubt is, would an individual resident of Pompeii be called *_Pompeo?_* As in Secvndvs the Pompeo?

“We think” everything she says she should be saying we think. We don’t know how people felt back then. for all you know people did have a problem with you coming into their house and writing in it. we have no idea, it’s not like right next to each graffiti there’s a stamp that says I approved thistles . Everything she says is all hearsay. We have no way of knowing if the graffiti was truly OK back in those days it’s just not possible to know but yeah we still try to act like we know everything…

I think it was just presented this way to make it more relatable, since that seems to be the whole point of the talk; to get a feeling what life was like for the ordinary people back then. So it's told in a "story" kind of way, as opposed to a "hard facts way".
@Billyboy42092 жыл бұрын
@@JoeBob79569 you mean what we think life was like ordinary people back then…lol
@JoeBob795692 жыл бұрын
@@Billyboy4209 Well we already know what life was like back then, from the excavations of Pompeii, and from writings from people of the time such as Pliny the Younger (and Pliny the Elder who died trying to rescue people from Pompeii). But the video above, as I said, is just portraying it in a story-like fashion to make it more relatable. You could do pretty much the same thing with graffiti you see on a wall today, or from 100 years ago. We know an awful lot about life in Pompeii, if you had been there you would know that you can walk around the city and see the shops, people's homes, brothels, carts, utensils, and even the food the ate. We probably know more about Pompeii than we do about many more recent cultures, because it was so well preserved.. So, we don't have to guess what life was like back then, because we already _know._
@Billyboy42092 жыл бұрын
@@JoeBob79569 we don’t “know” anything. It’s all speculation and hearsay… lmao

@@JoeBob79569 a picture is worth a thousand word,unfortunately 975 tend to be meaningless,kinda like all that babble 👆 To try and say we know anything about what life was like back then from the crumbs they left behind is foolish and something only a pro would say.. you do know the difference between a pro and a professional yes? Lol All we have at best at educated guesses.that’s it… lol sorry if you can’t handle it…

Any word in Latin based languages ending in alla or ella or olla signifies the name ALLAH, the one and only creator, sustainer and judge of the entire universe.
