Lovely video. I've been over those two bridges several times at dawn, pushing my bike between the first and last kissing gates. A lovely path that avoids the long climb that the road makes. Thanks to Adam for sharing this (and for leading the bike rides)!

Deep in the heart of what I call 'Secret Sussex. There are so many tiny hamlets and old manors to be explored - provided they can be found of course! Looking forward to South Stoke in due course, then maybe Offham ...?

This is a lovely spot to explore. If you keep going you will eventually emerge into the back of Arundel with the castle on your right. It's spectacular.

Oh, I will have to try that next time. Thanks very much.

Wasn't planning to watch another tonight until this popped up into my box. Glad I did!!! Very lovely Fall walk. Loved that raised path through the forested area (kinda reminded me a bit of Oregon). Now I'm curious to go see if I can find the other 1/2 of this video.

Richard Vobes Also looking forward to the next walk you mentioned that goes further along. I think it’s great that there are still places like this to walk but it’s scary how much is being built on and the worry for future generations not being able to experience the fun of adventure walks through woodlands

Regarding ordnance survey maps Richard, I recently bought a couple and discovered that they now come with a downloadable version that you can keep on your phone which I have found really handy, sorry if Im teaching my grandma to suck eggs here but its been a while since I bought one and I was pleasantly surprised to find this information out and thought Id pass it on.
@RichardVobes6 жыл бұрын
No not teaching to suck eggs. I must download them to my phone. I do prefer the printed version myself for the size and ease of following the route, but on the phone is handy too.
@SidBonkers516 жыл бұрын
Yes I have found the details, especially of footpaths, is better on the printed maps but as you say it is handy to have a copy on your phone for those times when you dont have a printed map with you.

The Gurkha bridge and the White one,the Gurkha is the tight one! Richard keeps mixing up Cynthia with Julia,I guess that will have to do ya! Gosh look at that tree and then another. If it rains they could afford us cover! Then on to the Black Rabbit,I really must watch this drinking habit!?!

Does no one use the word slippery any more. I can't stand that slang word Slippy.
@RichardVobes4 жыл бұрын
You have me now - I prefer 'slippery', but cannot recall which I used in the video.
