Thank you all SO much for bringing these back! In my own little pocket of the US as a kid back then, I was the only kid that knew who TY was. I grew up thinking this was a one off series that very few knew. I couldn't be happier to be wrong and to see this revival is so wholesome. There is DEFINITELY an audience for a TY 1 style sequel 😉

Ty was always one of my favourite game franchises as a kid! Spyro the Dragon trilogy are my favourite games of all time and Ty really appealed to me too as it's similar in some ways. I remember I asked for a boomerang as a kid because I wanted to pretend to be Ty! And when I was in the public swimming pool I would try and swim like Ty does and how Spyro does too, every time I did people thought I was drowning lol. Ty 2 was always my favourite, and since I'm from the UK I didn't play Ty 3 until I was around 11 and I learned about it from the Internet and imported an American copy, before that I would run all around the different game shops asking every one of them if they had Ty 3 and every one of them would tell me that it doesn't exist, but I knew better! Some of the fondest game memories from my childhood are exploring the town and roads/canyons in Ty 2. That game really made me feel like I was exploring an open, lived in world as a kid. And indeed, I have become an indie game developer now! Partially due to Ty. Happy 20 years Ty, and thanks to the people behind it for making my childhood just a little bit better.

Having grown up with the likes of Spyro, etc., I loved (and still love) them all, but I think it's Ty who I hold just a little more near and dear to my heart. He was up against some stiff competition at a time when character platformer/collectathons were everywhere, to be sure, but he managed to hold his own; I think the music and character design alone went a really long way. Thank you for not softening him for us Americans!

The Ty series is by far one of the best I have ever played and experienced in all of my years as a gamer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing it to life for everyone around the world to enjoy, myself included. My mother was the one who exposed me to this franchise when I was a kid. One day, she told me that she found a game with an orange tiger that had my name (Which is also Ty) in the title and gave it to me. I was a bit puzzled and shocked, but also really excited at the same time. I played the first game and absolutely fell in love with it. This series has meant a lot since then, and it always will mean a lot to me.

This game is still amazing to replay, it has stood the test of time which is what I don't easily give to alot of games. It's very cartoonish Australian, the game gives me that super summer feel I can just go through this game over and over again. Played this alot on my old Xbox, got the ps2 version, then later GC version donated to me then glad to support you with the HD remasters including the sequels. Love Steve's art so much and have some of his comics both ty and not ty. Also the ost in the first game I tend to listen to alot to relax or just enjoy a lazy hot day.

It's crazy how even in my podunk small town in the States I got exposure to Ty. One of my favorite memories I have with my cousin was trying out his copy of Ty 3. I only had Ty 2 and played the hell out of it till I 100%ed everything but the one shrine with the spiders. Not even realizing it was Ty's 20th birthday till a few videos back, I went about replaying 1-2 and for the first time playing from start to finish Ty 3. It's so nice seeing everyone else's comments who've had similar experiences and foundational memories made with Ty. Much obliged Krome!

I remember getting this game with my Dad at a store that was like GameXchange. I think it was called something like PauseStop or PausePlay. I wanted to get it because it had the nickname my parents and friends called me, Ty. Little did I know that it would be one of my favorite series I've played through. I remember I was scared of playing Ship Rex because the sharks terrified me and my Mom would have to play through that section so I could play past it. When the remasters came to Switch, I bought the first and second one for her so she could play it on her Switch Lite with me. It's probably one of the only games that really helped us bond. Super excited for the future of this series and thank you so much Krome Studios for all the memories!

11:38 That is so cool to see. Imagine a Ty 5 being released on the shelf nowadays among other games. But anyways, thanks for making a fantastic series. I started with Ty back in 2021, so not that long ago hehe. It kind of started from seeing the Switch trailer for the Ty 1 HD. I just thought that this would be a cool platformer. I think I liked his design too, and stuff. I got it a bit later for PS2 and had an alright time with it. It was fun for some things. A part I really like is the gliding section in Beyond the Black Stump. It is huge, and fully uses the gliding feature for boomerangs. I think the game is alright. But I really think Ty 2 is fantastic. It has a great feel, a fantastic soundtrack, Burramudgee and Burramudgee HQ are fantastic, etc. It was later in the year that I got that game, but I loved it. Ty 3 was a game I got soon after. It wasn't the best, but it's not just as simple as that. The game has some really good things, and an okay soundtrack. The other game mechanics being too emphasized was not my favorite. Why are there so many snow volcanoes with bunyips, BUT the game has good combat, and I really enjoy re-playing it on my file where I beat the game, and I think that it really tried. The crabmersible is fantastic too. cool series

So incredible, this franchise and community is amazing. Everyone gatherec together to bring this piece! Beatiful. Also it's not just America that got into the slang ;) In the Netherlands, I was little, playing TY games while I was still in elementry school, I started to shout RIPPER at everything that amazed me , and my friends picked it up and so it went back and forth with TY's quotes xD That's the first time I really learned about Australia and its piece of culture (and jokes!) I remember watching the making-of video which was a little extra thing on TY 1, Gamecube. I always thought it was really cool to see the entire team, scribbling for ideas and then working it out in animations etc...all those old computers too! that entired video summoned up the early 2000's haha. All and all, it's clear that the TY series meant a lot to a lot of peope! As I mentioned before, the artwork has been very critical to me when growing up and developing my artwork. I really can't thank this team enough for their dedication. This video made me smile throughout the entire 30 minutes., this was so incredibly wholesome...goodluck to all of Krome, can't wait to see what the future has in store for our favorite Tasmanian Tiger.
