I know I say it a lot don't know what it is about Torquay but I love it there lol💖

@@YanksandBritsProductions Not nice people. Pay no heed to what you see in any brochure material or a well framed KZbin video; instead try living in what constitutes real Torquay for just one month, you'll see what a chav ridden dive this town has been systematically transformed into over the last 35 years.

I went to the Tech College in the 1960s when it situated up the top of Torguay. It was all pulled down long ago, I understand, and replaced with housing. This is as close as I want to get. Returning to places you knew in your youth is so often a mistake.

Moved away twenty years a go, went back and it's had the heart ripped out, worst thing they could have done making Union and Fleet street a pedestrian precinct. Paignton just seems to be charity shops and drug pushers. Problem is Torbay has always had Champagne visions but missed the mark on domestic holiday makers and lost the conference market.

I went there on a language course in 1992, and I'm now living in Suffolk and I'm hoping to take my kids

Very noticeable that it didn't go to the top end of town...... where all the addicts/ homeless hang out, next to the Factory Row homeless shelter. Not judging, just saying.... 🙂

@@davids736 It's tragic. I've spent alot of time here but first time back in years. Not sure what's gone wrong, whether it's lack of industry and employment but it's changed so much

Looks a lovely town !! Does anyone know if the long road is used mainly for buses, little trains, taxis but also bicycles as l only saw one in the video?
@eddt4302 жыл бұрын
It should be buses only. No through traffic. 👍🏻
@martymart78922 жыл бұрын
Fleet street is buses only.However lorries can make deliveries before 9am as long as the don't block the road.

Disappointing. I would have thought, being a main tourist attraction and the money that pours into it, it would be a bit more polished and up-market. Still too much seaside rock and fish'n'chips feel to it.
