Trump bought flood insurance for his two golf courses in Great Britain that are near the ocean. He also petitioned to build a sea wall to protect against rising sea levels. So while he strokes his base's rejection of science, he is quietly preparing.

The only news station that presents credible stories that help mankind progress towards a legitimate society held up to the heavens with cooperation, truth, and decency. Why is so difficult for local broadcasters to accept the result of developed nations? All they have to do is host A scientist to shut down obnoxious fools who say every single time " the Earth has always changed" reluctantly FAILING TO LIST A SINGLE DETAIL or FACT. Come at me trolls...

Its sad, but do not blame (climate change) Kiribati is built on coral (naturally); not volcanic like Hawaii,Fuji, or Tahiti.Hurricanes(cyclones) on occasion hit these low-level coral islands thereby sinking, weakening these coral islands.

Dexter Morgan wow, I think you totally missed Hypatia's point. She's asking why are they always rushing guest's off the show. It doesn't seem like they allot time very well for wrap up. At any rate you jumped to the assumption that she was saying what's the rush on climate change. Instead of acting like an ass you could have engaged in civilized conversation and understood what she meant.

If rising seas take away your home island no amount of denial will change that.It is so easy for those skeptical of climate change to deny what they have not yet delt with. The debate will weaken with time.

yes of course, but whoever that decided the current the starting of both longitude and latitude makes Kiribati sitting on that "point".

+sabrielle lunin that is complete BS, the fact that the human race is now at 7.6B people after eating meat for thousands of years is evidence. Chemicals in the environment including plants is an issue as are psychological reasons. Plants ar equally as sentient as animals, they have feelings, they feel pain, they are intelligent etc etc. Vegans can no longer use the excuse that it's cruel to eat animals but not plants, science proves otherwise. But life consumes life for ;life always has always will. Veganism is just another religion that will not save the planet. Flying in jets is the biggest contributor to a an individuals GHG emissions.

Rising sea levels LMAO put a sand island in the middle of the ocean and watch it erode away , has nothing to do with sea level rising , water erosion of sand and coral caused by currents and tides

Science is a process of inquiry based on a dedication to discovering reality. It changes over time, as we discover and understand more. But it takes emotional courage, and intellectual discipline. We cannot trust our government to do this for us, that's very obvious isn't it? So let's go beyond simple ideas and platitudes And really try to read more deeply and transalte our understanding Into action. This is the task given to our generation.

First off we all agree Oppy is an asshole. But the fact is, the current man-made global warming could, in fact contribute to a new and drastic climate variation. The Little Ice Age (1350 - 1850) probably had several causes: cyclical lows in solar radiation, heightened volcanic activity, changes in the ocean circulation, variations in Earth's orbit and axial tilt (orbital forcing), inherent variability in global climate, and decreases in the human population. Currently, global warming is having a direct impact on changing ocean circulation and could very well trigger volcanic activity when the melting glaciers in Iceland that act like the cork in a bottle to prevent volcanic eruptions on that most volatile volcanic place on the planet melt. I'm not a scientist, so I have no real idea what the actual effect or how extensive the change would be, but the possibility of a swing in the climate -- all caused by global warming -- is a viable hypothesis.
