As a surgeon MD myself, I consider this to be the best fitting and useful tool at my consulting room. Noisy sound lets me to track vital signs perfectly even without looking directly to the second hand or even test auditive sense capabilities with my wrist, and it has a light and easy to read box, it's even white and it rhymes with my gown! Best tool for a doctor!

I just purchased one for my mother. A nice purple snoopy one with the peace logo. Looking at it now I may go out and buy one for myself too. The one you show looks good. Thanks for sharing.

The ticking never bothers me, infact I like the noise, I love these watches. My first ever watch was a manual wind Timex in the 1970’s
@jacksugden81902 жыл бұрын
I had various wind Timex in the 70’, think I had other brands, later Casio quarts, cannot remember the others before 1983, years later bought a 1976 Times Marlin - gold plated with Roman numerals, I still have it with original leather strap.

Fun beater I bought years ago for an easy rotation of NATO straps, but darn that second hand is loud. Drives my wife nuts when it’s on the bedside table.

Probably won't hear it over the sound of the cantina band playing most of the time anyway

Mine is coming Friday. Its the gray band with orange stripes. When it comes to this watch , this one will be my other choice to my Invictus automatic watch.

Got a weekender myself and its a really cool little watch. I really like this colourway though, great for summer and of course their party trick is awesome.

The tick sound of the Weekender doesn’t bother me. After some time in the Army, hearing loss has set in, and I don’t hear it unless it’s to my ear. The watch has a simplistic look, and does what a watch is supposed to do.

Ticking is Timex's selling point if you grew up in the 1970s and watched the endless ads on the toob.

Three watch collection... 1. Your favorite diver. 2. Seiko 5 on a leather strap. 3. Timex Weekender with lots of NATO straps.

Might buy an original based upon this interesting review, I have seen the original straps, originally they were black, think slimmer, as this model version may have had a circuit board fitted, I liked the colour, not to clued up on NATO straps, the leather looked nice.
@addicted_to_watches2 жыл бұрын
It definitely looks great on leather. If you end up buying one I hope you like it

Hold the indigo till it blinks, then U have after glow for a second more. It’s also hackable that stops the movement, no ticking.
@addicted_to_watches2 жыл бұрын
I didn't know that about holding it until it blinks. I'll have to try it out!

The green strap was the original one that came with the watch. All others came from AliExpress

The Weekender is a great value watch but I must be deaf as mine makes no sound. I love the retro style which to me is like a fleiger but lacks the sophistication of its German cousin and, for some, is probably too reminiscent of a 1950s school watch. Some people are only satisfied with a giant carbuncle, with a gaudy technicolour face, a fat bezel just for show, sprouting multiple dials and crowns, like a seed potato. Often, less is more.

The expedition is a great watch. I think a lot of people get a weekender as their first exposure to watches because of the price point and generic design

Too small for an adult. Better for a child or a woman
@addicted_to_watches2 жыл бұрын
It's definitely small, but for me it's because it's small that I like it. It doesn't get in the way of any movement I can make with my wrist
@duncanidaho21302 жыл бұрын
Then I suggest you look at Invicta. It can accommodate 60mm watch requirements.
