Yeah, I wish there were more couch co-op games, rather than online multiplayer for PS4, that aren't sports games. I would rather play a game with my girlfriend or have one of my friends come over and play with them, than some random person online that I don't know. Love playing Diablo 3 multiplayer. Was thinking about trying this and the Divinity- Original Sin games.

Everything these guys do is totally subjective though... it's kinda hard to objectively review what is essentially an art form. The description they give should be enough for someone to say whether it's their taste or not, even if it is subjective. I like the idea of giving a shout out to the games you're still playing though, it doesn't always have to be new stuff!

We need more games like A Way Out. It's super fun to play with a friend, and the final twist to that coop experience (which I am not going to spoil) just brings this game to another level. I would highly recommend this game, sitting in front of my computer spending an entire afternoon playing through the story was totally worth it

I played it in 6 hours with my best friend. Never had so much fun playing a co-op game before. Absolutely an unique experience. The fact that you can cooperate in so many things, blending in with the crowd to lure guards ect. Is really cool and fun. Graphics are really nice, no problem running it on pc. Ending is pretty good and surprising. Only thing I can say as a con is the fact that, the whole game is pretty short, and that the prison sequence is shorter than expected. If you look for an uniqe experience, with great storytelling, good graphics and with co-op I will reccomend this game with the whole of my heart. All in all i will give this game an 8.5 out of 10. The only thing that makes the score lower is the length of the game.

Honestly, I don't like games that are too long. Especially in the case of a game like this, not everyone keeps meeting often, so if it had been, say, a 16-20 hour game, it would have taken some people too much time to complete it. Some people might have left it halfway. For me, a short game that leaves you with an experience is so much more worthwhile over long games. Also sometimes games that are long tend to get repetitive or are long because the puzzles are too hard to solve (eg. hollow knight. speedruns are finished in half an hour but the average time to beat the game is about 80 hours! Which is why I uninstalled it and is now sitting in my library. That being said, I would like to enjoy it one day because everyone says its soo good.).

That's a perfect summary of this game. I've played it during the first lockdown with a friend while drinking beers and it was awesome. Some moments are amusing, while the whole story is well scripted and pretty serious too. There are clichéd things from movies, yup, but let's be honest - most games are this way. Take Vice City for instance, it was a cliche of the 80s, Scarface and action movies. Now I'm playing it with my bro and it's so hard not to spoil the whole thing but I think I'm keeping it cool =) I've played Brothers a couple years ago and this game is similar, yet much more mature. Gameplay is mediocre but the story itself is what makes this a great thing. I gave it 8 out of 10 on my gamefaqs profile. Some games have better gameplay but you'll forget some of them eventually. A Way Out's story will always be with you though, just like Vice City Stories' one. Definitely worth playing for the story itself.

I played this with a close friend of mine and we really enjoyed it. Loved how the hospital sequence was handled and loved the ending. A solid, if short game. I played Leo the whole time and grew rather fond of him and my friend felt the same about Vincent. We played online from across the state and only had one or two hang ups with connectivity, but otherwise had no issues with lag or gliches. I would definitely replay this game, maybe playing Vincent the second time around and making different choices than the first time.

I love this game! I've been trying to get my sister into videogames and most games are too hard for someone who never played a videogame other than Ms pacman. Usually she just watched me play but I convinced her to play this one with me, there were some parts that were difficult for her and some for me even, but we figured it out because our brains worked differently. The story is great, the gameplay is hilarious and fun and overall, it's a great game for beginners or for pros like myself (just kidding I'm pretty trash considering how long I've been playing games) and a great way to spend some time and laughter with your friend or family + it's only 30 bucks and only 1 person needs to buy the game, and if you split it, it will only cost 15 each I know I just wrote a lot but I'm telling you, it's worth it

This is literally top 3 favorite games, it’s so fucking good. Every action sequence is crazy fun, with each person being assigned a cool role. For example, a car chase scene where the two main characters are in a pickup truck driving away from a bunch of cop cars. One person is driving the car, dodging other cars, and trees, while one is in the back shooting.

The game was fun but I feel its a once only playthrough you can tell the other options will still ultimately take the story along the exact same line the only part replaying is the last bit at the end. I did love all the mini games though played the whole thing with my brother and it was a good time, that twist is genuinely the most surprised I've ever been in a long time I guessed about 4 things that would happen but that twist came out of no where!

My buddy and me are liking it so far and I think its well worth the $20.68 I paid for it. One of the reasons why i got it was because I feel like Splitscreen co op is very rare now a days and you dont see it anymore in games hardly(except for many the Nintendo switch, but sadly I don't own own it yet). When my friends come over all we want to do is play videos games but we have a limited choice of games due to no splitscreen co op. We usually have to pick older games that has splitscreen built it. So this game is a real treat for us.

The game was and is amazing, me and my best friend finished this in one night. And the connection between Leo, Vincent and the players is strong. When your playing as one of the characters you get to see their life and how they lived. You connect to them. I played as Leo and I loved him because he reminded me of me sometimes through that game. Cracking jokes, laughing, and being serious in moments. He's pretty much a spark in the dark. My best friend played Vincent. But the game is amazing. The ending was really depressing and I was almost to tears. The betrayal was very big and it was really tear jerking playing it and then thinking about it. There were some Ai animations that were a little weird but it's an amazing game. I loved the hospital part in the game, where it switched off screens between Vincent and Leo escaping from the police. The silent takedowns were great too. When you knocked out a guard as Leo, you choked them out and punched the pack of their heads. As Vincent you chocked them out and tossed them to the side. It's very detailed and it's just an amazing game in general. I highly recommend this if you love co-op, story, action, drama, and a great ending.

Havent played it. When i was younger i was definitely considered a gamer. I would compete in little local tourneys and stuff. Now i will still play a game of madden...nba 2k...nhl...rasslin'... Or mlb. However my son and i will find coop games and defeat them together. Im 41 and my sons 17. Playing games together is fun...it allows us to shoot the crap....we spend time together...etc. Its very good cuz it gives me a "in" into whats going on with him so its a very good way for us to bond. Weve played through every halo...gears of war... And COD games with a coop option. We still laugh about things that have happened and ...to me anyway... Those memories r priceless. So as far as this game goes i never heard of it but my son brought it to my attn. We are both jacked to play this game and make memories. Thnx for the video looks fun.

Played with my girlfriend,and I must say we fought, a lot, but in the end we enjoyed all of it and had a ton of fun. I recommend to anyone who has a good friend or partner to play with

It's been a long time now since i've last played something that even had couch co-op as an option. Those were some of my favorite days playing video games.

The one thing that I didn’t like about it was the gun combat in the later acts, the shooting portions when going after Harvey felt like a very old run and gun, I felt like it could have had better gun play or just not be there at all. Aside from that this game is amazing and it is definitely a must play. But the shooting part doesn’t stay long so it can’t really be complained about.

Now that I've grown up and moved out I don't get to game with my younger brother often but I invited him over and we played it couch Co op and had a good time. Couch Co op is less popular these days but it was an important part of my youth I will always cherish. I hope the game industry gets some good lessons from A Way Out especially since it's only $30 and you can share a free copy with a friend.

I downloaded the full free trial first and played with a friend who bought the game and I enjoyed it. We only got to the part just after you leave the trailer park before they had to leave and do something else. I ended up buying the game so that I could play with someone else who wanted to play it, but didn't want to pay for it. It's one of the few games that we'll ever come across that is highly focused on cooperative gameplay/team work. I'll be playing Far Cry 5 on Tuesday and then Far Cry 3 for the first time when the remaster is released. From what I've seen of FC5, there is a ton of stuff to do and some of it is quite weird. You can also be pretty sadistic if you wanted to...

I'm almost 2 hours into this game and it's one of the most fun co-op games I've played in years. It's far from perfect and the voice acting is definitely meh, but this game really makes me miss couch co-op in a way no other game has before. Definitely worth a pick-up, hopefully you have a buddy to play next to you to really get the most out of the game.

My brother and I bought it on release day (And in Australia it was only $40 rather than the full $60+) We finished it in one sitting and oh my goodness the graphics are gorgeous, the mechanics are simplistic but solid. The game is definitely worth playing with a friend or family, the little minigames and competitions will make it that much more enjoyable. Also spoilers but Jesus that ending tug the rug out from under me.

Trash? Hell no! I love the characters. Love the story. The graphics and how it all comes together is great especially for a smaller developer. I have played it multiple times and get pulled into the story every time. I really am glad I have been able to play it with multiple friends. It's really a great experience.

Jake once again you stick the landing with going against the crowd and liking a game that I liked, there are not a lot of co-op story based games like are rare now a days and me and my cousin loved those old days and played through this game in one sitting and were entertained the whole time
