I love seeing snow from my computer and not have to be out in it! Beautiful video! So different from the desert.

thank you for watching the video and taking time to feedback. Absolutely, but i think the desert would bring a whole lot of other challenges both good and bad,,but at least you would not need to carry the extra weight of the ice axe and crampons..lol.And hot or cold we are getting out there and enjoying the liberation that brings.. Hi Kenny, wow mate, what a red letter day that, absolutely stunning, proper arctic conditions. You're so lucky, we've had absolutely no snow yet at all in the Lake District. Thanks for the review on the gloves, I think I will get a pair of them. The waterproof Rab ones I have are great but I find them difficult to pull on and off in the cold, they are rather a tight fitting. All the best mate Dave

thanks for watching Dave and taking time to comment too. Yeah Rab make nice winter gloves..the Icetherm ones were just an experiment and will do a job when it is cold and dry. They are a tight fit so I would suggest going for the larger size. My hand temperature was warm all day and I did not feel the need to go into the bag for the heavy duty goretex numbers..They will be handy when contacting rough rocks and save wear on the fabric ones. I confess to being very much a southerner, indeed right on the south coast of England but I come to walk in Scotland for about 3 to 4 months of the year spread over a number of visits. Slowly, very slowly, I am getting better at picking up the accent and some of the words you use to describe your brilliant mountains. I love watching videos of Scottish mountain walks and it’s really good to hear the pronunciations. That said I have one hell of a struggle to try and pronounce some of them.
