Enjoyable and relaxing video. Reminds me of traveling in my friend's VW van in Baja, back in the 70's. It was called the monster, because it sounded like a monster when driving. Thanks for sharing. Open roads - quiet beaches, Love it!

MAK and Owen, another awesome episode. I enjoyed MAK on the Skateboard and was waiting for her to do a "Double Ollie". Perhaps, when cleaning fish, use a pair of "Kevlar" gloves, they do work. MAK, I was in awe when I saw you use the Multi-tool to cut the Goat Cheese. You go girl! I trust your cut fingers have healed? Cheers, Mate.

Yeah that is a good call, my hands were just so cold and had been wet for so long the skin was so soft. It was an easy thing to do and also easily preventable. BUT I just got feeling back in the tip of that finger. HA might have been a more severe cut than I anticipated.

Wow, your videos have matured beautifully. As an aging surf rat from the '70's, going to Baja was a nearly daily thing before school in Encinitas, CA (school didn't start till 1pm, lol). We'd jam down to our favorite beach break before sunup to be in the water by day's light. Venturing further and further south over the years brought that appreciation that this video portrays, BEAUTIFULLY, once again. As a musician, the selection of music was excellent. My wife of 30+ years and I also drive a Tundra, with a pop top camper, 35's, suspension, winch, etc. We've been focused north of the border for so long, maybe it's time again to venture south......

Love everything, the photography, the commentary, the pace, the music. It’s nice to find other people with similar passions and appreciation for small things. “What pattern connects the crab to the lobster and the orchid to the primrose and all the four of them to me? And me to you?” remarked Gregory Bateson.

What a bonus when you use that. Nice score on the beach camp too! You might have made a great style of short cake with local fruits and cream? Mak pancakes where you eat and you sleep, lol! Best scenario to had a cut like that. What a treat from sea to plate. Once you live like that/this there is no turning back! Quality or quantity for sure. The moon was awesome! People will always apologize for there lack of English and I always respond that your English is better than my "Fill in the blank of language" is! She's Mak'ing on the cheese! Incredible scenery, just breath taking sights. That spicy salted rim did look great! Awesome as always and always the outtakes! Bought some fresh swag from you guys for my new rig!

I definitely am envious of your use of the word Unbound. Two questions please….what do you both see as the most restricting factor in your adventurous life, and on a completely different level, where in your travels have the bugs been the worst? Thank you so much for sharing!
@BoundForNowhere Жыл бұрын
Worst bugs ever were on a small island off the coast of Texas. We got ran out by mosquitos that were finding their way into our van at night. We had to flee at like 11 o'clock at night and drive two hours straight north away from the coast. As we stopped I had killed the last mosquito so we could go to bed. But the sound of buzzing was traumatizing for a while after that. There were so many in our van that night that the ceiling was nearly black it was so covered!

I'm so so happy that you've ended up in my favorite place in the world. I so love Baja. I love the people, the food and the climate. It's the best of Mexico because there's low humidity. The Mexican people are so lovely, but most of the country is too humid for me, so Baja is my sweet spot. I used to go to Cabo in the 80's when there was nothing there. Now I stay far far away from Cabo, but I still love Baja. Beautiful videos as always!

Great episode!!! Love your pictures!! What camera is that, are you shooting film, I see you turning, and what tripod head are you using, my manfrotto tripod head takes way too much time to turn from horizontal to vertical😂😂 Thanks for sharing your amazing adventures!!!❤
@BoundForNowhere Жыл бұрын
So that camera is a Mamiya 645, its a medium format camera from the 80s/90s and is pretty well known as a fashion camera because you can change the backs out and shoot multiple rolls at a time. Its very lovely! But as for the tripod! That is THE BEST travel tripod anywhere. It is by peak design: bit.ly/3Yf6D3f It is very intelligently designed and very light weight. We like it so much we have two ;)

Throughly enjoyed this latest episode and can’t wait for more. Few random thoughts: As soon as you mentioned filleting the fish I got an instant goosebump feeling that you’d cut yourself only to listen to you explain how you cut yourself twice as bad! Yikes, a bit of premonition goes a long way. I love, no adore your film photography. A few weeks back I worked with a photographer who does exceptional still images of sunsets, Milky Way and more. Sadly he can’t capture speed when shooting auto racing, my business and hobby and he’s the staff photographer. Talk about frustration, 3000 digital photos and I can count on one hand how many are useable. I haven’t had a chance to watch Tight Loops video yet, did they actually shoot with what looked/felt like a 60’s/70’s Super 8 camera? Anyway looking forward to the next episode!

I miss the street dogs, and town squares of Latin America. Edit> As a specialist in remote medicine. If you can drink it, you can clean/flush a wound with it. However much you think is enough, double it. You don’t need anything fancy, copious amounts of water. And keeping it clean is the majority of the battle. In Mexico you can usually go into any pharmacy and buy anything you want. Things that would be RX in the states. Keep moving it, to break up any scar tissue after about 3 days. Or prevent it from healing in a way that limits movement. I have treated more fish slime infected wounds than I can count.

Ok. Going to honest here. This is not the channel I subscribed to years ago. Maybe I’m in the minority. I’m ok with that. Now its weeks and weeks without content. Then it’s Wes Anderson stuff, which was cool, but not what I wanted. Now it’s light, and focus, and getting that shot you wanted sort of thing. I admit it was cool seeing you guys in a commercial on KZbin like 2 years ago ish, but the content isn’t the same. It’s not personal. It’s a travel vlog. There’s like a million of them. With WAY TOO MUCH MUSIC. Stop the damn music!!! Lol. and not enough personal touch. Guys, you’ve lost me. I really loved looking forward to your videos and now it’s like…. Do I watch it. As a fan, that shouldn’t happen.ever. I’m sure you guys have plan but I’m not the only one thinking this. Safe travels.

Here's the thing, we make to our own hearts content. Not that of anyone else. This is what we are wanting to make, its creatively fulfilling and it takes time to make. We very much understand that it isn't for everyone, and that is ok. So if you don't care to watch it, that is fine by us as there is likely plenty of what you are looking for out there. But just know this is what progress and progression looks like.
