Emergency medicine is definitely not my thing but I have found that research is so I am considering doing that once I become a vet.

Thank you for uploading today! I've been stressing all day because I have my first final exams in vet school starting this Friday. It's an OSCE format of physical exams and basic handling skills on canines, equine, and bovine. I really hope the Navle goes well for you if you have not taken it yet! I'm looking forward to seeing more vlogs about your life transitioning from clinical student to being a licensed vet. :) I just wanted to let you know that I truly appreciate your honesty about vet school and life and it motivated me to start my own KZbin channel going over my vet journey at SGU so I can help others understand what it is like to go through vet school. Thank you again for everything that you do!

It's so cool to see your vet school experience, thank you for sharing it!! How have you dealt with losing patients? I want to be a veterinarian, and most of the research I have done highlights the trauma many vets go through from losing patients. I did some job shadowing this summer (I am a sophomore in high school) and I saw some things that made my heart ache, I feel like that would be so hard to deal with every day.

Thanks so much for watching!! It definitely is a hard part of the profession, however, I try to think of all the patients that we can save vs the ones we can't. At the end of the day, we're never going to be able to save them all, but I hope in those times I can support the families and try and prevent suffering in my patients as much as possible. Having a team around you that's supportive is also super important when navigating those tough days! 🤍

You honestly inspire me so much. I’m still in school, and when I graduate I wanna go to vet school. It’s my dream and you just teach and inspire me so much to prepare for it and what it’s gonna be like. My all time favorite KZbinr is you and it forever will be and that’s for sure. Love this video do much!!!

You should leave your boy to roam around your apartment when you're gone... Train him to go in the crate if he has to go...

He eats things he’s not supposed to so to make sure he doesn’t get a foreign body he’s crated when we’re not there!

@@yourvetamanda Get on him about it verbally with some descending tone so he learns not to do that so he can move around more to promote better vascular and mental health for him. However I understand and empathize with your dilemma. He looks like he'd be a good service dog so maybe you should fine yourself a handicap then you can take him to school with you as I'm sure everyone would love him. :) Just thinking for a lawyers prospective.

@@Unknown-hu4gf Crate training is actually very beneficial for dogs. Thanks for your input though.

@@yourvetamanda Yes, I agree... But, confinement for a long period of time is no Bueno... I'm sure he'd agree and as a lawyer that practices animal law I have a fiduciary obligation to defend them.

I appreciate your concern, however, I always have my dogs best interests in mind with any decision I make. If you’d like to discuss this further you can send me a message on Instagram @studentvetamanda
