I really enjoyed this series because it showed something you rarely see on KZbin videos - failure. Now I'm not glad that you failed to achieve what you set out to acomplish. Rather I'm glad that you showed, inadvertently, that sometimes things do not go to plan. And when things do not go to plan, you need to find a new plan or be willing to admit defeat and not push on regardless. And you showed that it is okay to do so. It was also sobering to see in episode 2 how small oversights and nasty weather can quickly put you in a bad situation. You had the experience and good sense to recognize and correct it, but not everyone would be so lucky. So, basically you didn't accomplish what you wanted at the start but I think the end product that you produced is even more valuable.

Absolutely, the survival tips are most helpful, my opinion, my two cents, you mentioned you where sticking to only Labrador and NFL, I agree, why, you become an expert for your region. Okay, you mentioned a rabbit snare, what about the local edible plants?

This is one of your most valuable teaching episodes. When it’s danger ahead, wisdom was used. You protected yourself and the health of your dogs. You didn’t put yourself or your dogs in harms way just so you could say, “we made it”. ......a good life lesson!

I'm reminded of Che Guevara 's reminiscences of a Cuban revolution and his experiences fighting the enemy..he used to read Robert Louis Stevenson to his men. Keep up the great work putting newfoundland on the map, doing my work for me. Erling johanson my fellow student in bishop feild college, died at 73 last year..he died in Al erta so once again I'm reminded of my mortality. Keep well.. If you eat berries you'll have a big organ concert, according the Che.

As disappointed as you may feel Justin about not continuing onward in this trip, it was definitely a smart move in returning. Too hard on Bear and with the dogs not being able to carry their packs would mean you would have to. With extra weight you having to pack would mean sinking even further. Great job! Waiting for next vid.
