You are so right about the gold thing in india, like we are not ur kind of rich but we are decently fine & I really wanted the cartier love bracelet really badly but my mom & aunt were like “ first of all they don’t worth much cause the gold is too less when u compare to the price & u can get 4-6 thick 22k bangles in that price which is like so true 🤣 nobody gonna think u r rich if u wearing that thin bracelet in india & also so many teens these wear fake love bracelets in india which is like 5-10 bucks, so I just drop my mind to have love bracelets & My mom got really beautiful gold necklace with that money

In Bangalore not many people are aware of brands but they definitely are in Delhi and Bombay! In fact I shop more at the Delhi Hermes than any Hermes in the world. So funny to see you at so many familiar places in Blr, I live there and absolutely hate it! It’s OK for a visit but a terrible city to live in. Diamonds are cheaper in India but gold is better/cheaper in Dubai.

People in the South splurge on plenty of things (notably gold, real estate, cars) but are not as educated or interested in luxury brands minus maybe LV or Gucci, as Lailli mentioned. I know plenty about Bangalore/south India, as my relatives are Bangalore born and bred plus I have lived there for a few years. I still feel Bombay and Delhi are way more sophisticated in all aspects be it art, culture, fashion, education etc. I'll give Bangalore a point for good weather, but that's about it. My opinion so don't take it personally if it isn't yours 😊
