love the vlog! but when in Mexico you def should eat at the local food stands/shops more than the higher end places, because this allows you to directly contribute to the local economy and support them through tourism plus it is for sure 10x better sometimes than sit down *fancier* restaurants

Theres no pyramid under the cathedral, it was built on top of el templo mayor aka the political and religious center of the mexica (not aztec) empire and the stones that were repurposed for the cathedral were part of the Huitzilopochtli temple. Actually the costum of building sacred structures on top of previous structures was also used in Teohtihuacan by mexicas and the Spanish people kinda stuck to it too. Just completing the last part:) loved the vid

Mexica and Aztec are literally the same thing lol when aztec people move and settle in the lake, they built the city of Mexico Tenochtiltlán, so they started to identify as mexicas.

Mexico and its Capital City are wonderful and fascinating!. The history, art, the culture, the beautiful weather in the Capital and high plateaus of Central Mexico and off course the gastronomy! The country has the largest number of Word Heritage Sites recognized by UNESCO in the Americas!. Great experience!!!!
