a week in my life: camp nano edition
Friends, this was a doozy of a video to film, edit, and finally get exported 😵‍💫 but, as a fan of longer vlogs myself, i hope you enjoy (:
I wouldn't say i failed, per say, but i definitely learned how to pivot to set myself up for success the rest of the month. I do these writing challenges less so for progress on words (although that's always nice) but more because i'm constantly trying to find my way as a writer and the things that work for me. Starting this channel has helped me learn how to give myself a lot of grace when my writing plans don't always work out or i don't hit a certain goal, and i'm so thankful for that.

The way you described Kingdom Hearts is how I feel about the Zelda series. It's fundamental part of my being and my values. Also, not sure if this will help, but as a reader, if I find a character hard to like because of their personality, if another character points it out, then I'm okay, knowing that it's on purpose for the story. :)

YES! omg zelda is another incredible game. i just got my husband to start the Breath of the Wild game last year and it's been so nice to have something to bond over. It's crazy how the smallest things can have some of the biggest impacts on our character (: and thank you for sharing that re: characters. It's nice to hear how other readers interpret books/scenes/characters

your video actually inspired me to take a step back and figure out how to create a writing routine for myself. i pretty much know what it is, but i realized i've never been intentional about it. first it was about making sure i set aside time during the day to write, but now i want to make sure it's something i really truly look forward to (: oh yeah, i don't think i ever left 2016 tbh 😂

This month, my best writing has happened outside. I walk down to the lake (middle of city) and sit under a tree and write. My best day was over 2700 words 😳 but I haven't managed to replicate it yet.

@@beccatobar yah, it's been mid-30s with the humidex but I take a drink with ice and sit under a tree, enjoying the wind, and get it done. I don't tolerate heat well so I'm careful. I'm off to see what can be done now, even though there's a heat warning. 😳
