Megan, I love your video and how you’re trying to find a slow pace life in today’s busy society. I prefer the fast pace life over slowing down. I am over 60 and the slow down days will soon be here and while they’re not yet I wanna enjoy it the fast pace running here running them keeps me young.

Woah you showed up like having a twin in portions of this video. Pretty cool. If only you could multiply yourself to help you out right?? Yes! You totally encompass slow living with things you do. It's part of why I enjoy your videos. :) Very nice! You have a Bernina. Those are great machines! I have a Juki but used a Bernina a few times that I borrowed. I am glad you were answering your son's questions about your machine. I totally agree with you to let your kids free play and that you don't have to constantly entertain them. I was raised where honestly, no one really played with me as I am the youngest and was the surprised age gap baby while my siblings played with one another and were close in age. It is why I have so many hobbies, and so I think it is GREAT for other kids to learn to be bored to be able to gain creative juices! We have the same cloth checkerboard here. I feel you eat pretty healthy. My kids don't really like some veggies or fruits (other than maybe apples). Yeah the microplastics are awful. If you have any plastic tools, containers, or Teflon items. . don't use them any longer. About all the people in your age group that may be done having babies, they could have a surprise baby later on (my last two have a 14 year age gap). haha. Great job taking walks in this weather! It is so cold outside. I do NOT walk unless it is warm out. I am impressed. My ears feel deep pain as I was partially deaf in both ears (80% each) in my early years, and I think they are just really sensitive to the cold (even with hats on and such).

I am once again encouraged by your videos! I enjoy your videos as it feels like I'm home again (I'm from your town and you truly make me want to be back home again there! I loved growing up there so much). I have 4 kids as well (1.5 yr old twins, 5yr old, and 7yr old). We are home a lot as we homeschool and don't do too too much outside our home - and I'm 100% ok with that! When you mention walking, I'm always re-encouraged to get on more walks once again. We get out and walk around the neighborhood as much as we possibly can, but I do have goals to change our walking scenery to go to walking parks and our local arboretum walking trails. I enjoy seeing what your cooking and baking too as we do most everything from scratch (keeping it very simple). Your content is right on par with what the generations coming up after us needs to hear/see! All of the truths you share are so valuable for youger/new mothers to be encouraged by. Keep up the good work with all the time and effort you put into these videos!

I am new to the world of being a stay at home mom! I have a 7 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old and I have worked up until the new year. We decided it was best if I stayed home with our kids. I find myself feeling like I have to do all these things around the house but honestly, I just want to soak up all the moments with my 2 I still have home with me! I feel like I've missed so much being a working mom and I CRAVE that slower pace of life! After hustle and chaos that was my life every single morning and evening when I was working, it has been so refreshing to sit and have my cup of coffee before my kids get up...making a good breakfast for my family and planning out my day with no deadlines or over head has been so nice! I'm so blessed to be able to be at home with my children now! I LOVE your channel! It's just so relaxing and I look forward to your videos!

When it's-30 we don't them skate on our rink , but once it's-29 !° they say it's ONLY -29 !! And they are all out the door 😂 Canadians eh ? Hi Meagan! Hey, I just caught up on some old videos of yours and noticed your ordeal with Fletcher and his seizures. First of all I am so sorry and am praying for you! As a mom who had a daughter diagnosed with ALL Leukemia last November of 2024, we delved into so much research to try to find out why she got this cancer. Anyway, long story short, we prayed for God to show us...and I believe He answers our direct prayers like this!...and WANTS to answer us! Anyway, long story short we quit our chemotherapy 11 months after she was in remission. The chemo was no longer serving her for the better and we learned so much in just feeding our bodies where we were deficient. Getting bloodwork done to find out where we are deficient is VITAL...something doctors do not prioritize! . Anyway, along the health research we were doing. I came across vitamin B deficiencies. Epilepsy in children can be a vitamin B1 deficiency. An excess of sugar, highly processed carbs, caffeine or tea can deplete B1. B1 is needed for hundreds of processes in our neurological system. (We started milling our own flour to get ALL the B vitamin complex that we so lack in our modern diet!l )Anyway, please do some research and forgive me if I seem like I am intruding. Many doctors mean well and God can certainly use them! They did for my daughter! But doctors get less than 19 hours in nutritional schooling. God made and designed us to live off of nutrients (and obviously not by bread alone, but by every word of God!!). I've had the blessing to be able to have more of these talks with the doctors in where my faith lies in Jesus who is our Great Physician! Yes He can use modern drugs to help us, but many of them are not the fix. Anyway, blessings to you and your families healing journey! Please find me on Facebook and feel free to message me! Priscilla Rowan.

Agree 💯! Slow is good! Slow is also productive! I think that‘s a really important mindshift! Many feel you can either do life at a slower pace OR be productive but that‘s simply not true, especially when one (as Meghan suggested) thinks of slow living as mindful/intentional living❤ It‘s something I had to learn the hard way when my life practically stopped when I developed chronic fatigue syndrom. Being very present and intentional with what I am doing has become a necessity as I find my way back into everyday life and it really took a while for me to understand that I was still being productive!❤

One recommendation regarding healthy eating I heard from another mom was if you use it more than one a week learn to make it from scratch , and if it's a treat than buy it organic. (Since we can't always do everything 😅) I'm from Canada and grew up very similar to you Megan, and so that definitely is a plus in the making from scratch department since it's pretty normal for us. I have noticed tho that most all grocers here are really starting to carry excellent organic/non seed oil products such as dressings, condiments, sweets, salty snacks etc.

Living far out of town, I cook everything. It's so expensive to keep up with or packaged snacks for kids and they disappear so fast. For me it's way less stressful to bake a batch of cookies, buy peanut butter and bananas and apples and yogurt and chocolate chips, and make big batches of food from pantry staples than to constantly restock packages of premade dinners or snacks. The kids have homemade bread, butter and jam or peanut butter and honey too. It seems to go farther.
