you know how you always joke with friends about traveling to places but then never actually follow through? well, we actually booked flights and spent a week in oahu and it was such a sweet time with these college friends :') lots of beaches, hikes, food (we were perpetually eating), and fun. ready to do this again one dayyy

I really enjoyed your vlog!! Ty for sharing your food adventure. which one did you guys prefer tonkatsu tamafuji or ginza bairin???? i've only tried tamafuji but i heard the other place is super good as well.

I personally thought the kurobuta at tamafuji was a little too oily and fatty, but I don't know if it's fair to compare it to the tenderloin katsu we had at ginza bairin (which was amazing!! perfect texture and flavor) because the cuts are just different. But we liked the egg toji at tamafuji, and the pork tenderloin katsu at ginza bairin!

@@clareespina4018 fumi's had a more subtle and nuanced flavor, while giovanni's was more of a punch-you-in-the-mouth garlic flavor. personally preferred fumi's, also because the plate comes with corn and a slice of pineapple!
