A week in Puglia - amazing food scene, cute towns and spectacular beaches!

Before ending our road trip with our camper van through Europe, we spent one week in Puglia, Italy! We were amazed by the beautiful beaches, the incredible food scene and how cheap everything was!
Some of the towns and cities we visited were Ostuni (our favourite), Polignano a Mare, Lecce, Monopoli, Alberobello, Otranto and Locorotondo.

​@@laurandnicolas ​ YAYY I can't wait for when you guys do finally go- it is a place unlike any other (and a vegetarian's dream come true). A word of advice from someone who's Indian and has been at least a dozen times: Try to go sometime between November and early March. you DO NOT want to visit when it's summer months or monsoon season. It will not be enjoyable. Also, India is a place you can travel to for a long time on a budget, and live/eat extremely comfortably - so please don't rush or only visit big cities (if possible, ofc.) But def. check out the nicer hotels/palaces if u get the chance to in Rajasthan, they're so beautiful. One more thing, you can get to literally any climate you want to in the country (mountains, deserts, lakes/beaches, big cities, tropical islands, etc.). Anyway, hopefully, you can visit sometime next year!!

Great video! Headed this way in a couple of weeks. Could you share with me some tips about car rental? What city did you rent from and what kind of car? BTW, your accent is fun, almost as if you learned English from a girl in the San Fernando Valley in California 😄

Hope I'm not too late with this comment! We were actually in Puglia with our self-converted van, so didn't hire a car, but if I remember correctly my sister rented a car at Bari Airport and she was happy with it. It was a midsize SUV (she has 2 small kids, so needed to put car seats and lots of luggage in it). No idea about the accent, but Americans usually say we sound very European! Enjoy your stay in Puglia!

FYI, Locorotondo would translate as "round place". It has nothing to do with "crazy" (Loco= luogo = place... not Spanish "loco" ;) ) @Nicolas: "1 arancino, 2 arancini" is correct You also stopped at my birthplace Casamassima! 🥰 I hope you liked it despite it not being very touristic Btw Matera is not in Puglia, but in Basilicata 🤓
