I'm so sorry about the bird massacre! We get attached don't we? I love your little table next to the chaise, what ever the top material it looks great! I have a smaller version next to my bedroom chair, perfect for my coffee and some flowers. I'm looking for a night stand also, thrift stores will provide, must be patient 😊 I found a reproduction of antique mirror that had been discarded and after a clean and paint it's hanging, smile of approval for that! I would have put that beautiful wardrobe on the wall where you have the tapestry hanging. Thats just me though. I like your little table and if you dont like the color just put down some new leather of your choice. Ok thats enough of me being bossy tee hee. Isn't it fun decorating and making it look fabulous and homey. I also have antiques in my home, mostly Victorian and Edwardian pieces. Ive been lucky to find some nice Paintings also. Omg those weasels are such awful things to have about. It's so hard to keep predators at bay especially around the hens. That is why we have fox terrier dogs here on our farm to keep the numbers down of predators like stoats, weasels and ferrets. When our old fox terriers had died of old age we became over run with these awful creatures and they were coming out in the daytime to hunt our poor little defenceless hens. So we recently bought a minature fox terrier and she is a rat, stoat and weasel hunting machine. Even though she sleeps on our bed at night she hunts all day from dawn till dusk. Btw I love the red topped cup of tea table... it suits that corner perfectly👌love your vlogs...keep them coming...your choice of music is fun...the farmyard tune was very appropriate!! Good news about possibly being self sufficient in water...thats truly a bonus!! Your son is gorgeous...love and spoil him while you can...they grow up too fast!! The brass knobs came out rather nice too! Funny about the lights in bedroom I had to laugh we had something similiar in our old house...we lived with it for ages and when we got a ceiling light it was very special. We wondered why we hadn't fixed it earlier. But it wasn't a priority at the time.

It's delightful to see you again. So many aspects of your home are lovely, but the loss of your birds is not! What a sad day. People that I know who have birds either have their runs covered in wire fencing or a roofed but open-sided shed (we have raccoons and hawks). I hope you can find a solution that reduces the chance of heartache. I also like your red table next to the chaise. I like to mix furniture eras because too much of one style can be too heavy, plus ordinary people acquire and delete pieces over the generations.

You can clip their wings so they can’t fly that high up,. It doesn’t hurt them but it helps the wrangling of this notorious escapees. We also got a a Pyrenees, they are fabulous about protecting them at night as well as with kids. They patrol the property every morning and a every evening. We have have foxes, and raccoons, and hawks that love our chickens! Problem solved.

Oh dear, sorry about your birds. I had to look up pine martin as I had no idea what it was but now I can see how nasty they are. They must be good at getting in little spaces with their little narrow bodies. I do like your tea table and it lifts that corner. A cuppa tea on it will be lovely. I also discovered that I have a chateau problem in my 1980s home as there are only plugs in the bedrooms - no light fixtures. So annoying. Thank you for another thoroughly enjoyable visit. 🇨🇦👍💕
