Hi Ami & Marc, APPARENTLY if some followers of a YT channels donate say ie£5 to a channel like yourself; YT would take just over half the money & the channel like yourself only get around £2.20 of the £5. Is this correct?😳

Nearly every year I rewatch this video. From start to finish it's wonderful. Love how the tree and creche , came together. Pepper and Dave! The Christmas cracker jokes and Amy's laughter , just reduces me to tears of laughter every time. Best Christmas vlog ever! Thank you .

Hello, I found your videos today and I was so excited, because my maiden name is Desrosiers. I have been working on my genealogy and of coarse traced my name origins to France. But I’m now stuck and can’t seem to move past my ancestors in France one of whom came to New France in the mid 1600’s. When saw the name of your chateau I was so surprised. The spelling is a little different indicating to me that it maybe a different family. As I go back in time I’ve found some ancestors spelled the name differently than we do at present. I found Des Rosiers, De Rosier, and de Rosier, as well as our spelling Desrosiers. Could you tell me where your chateau is located in France it might help me as I continue my search. I was told the name was of French nobility. I live in British Columbia, Canada at present although my family ancestors settled back east in the Quebec region of New France. Hi Irene, How interesting! In fact we have quite good records of the people who lived in our chateau and none of them were actually named 'de Rosieres'. de just means 'from' and so if I were you I'd look for names of towns and villages in France called Rosieres (or Rozieres which seems more common). There's one in Haute Loire for example. There is also another chateau called 'chateau de Rosieres' which is near Dijon I believe. But again, I'd be looking for the names of towns and villages more than chateaux. 43800 and 07260 are the postcodes of the villages that I've found with the name Rosieres. Neither of them are very far from us actually, and there was certainly a lot of emigration from here to Canada. Our own village is Saint-Felicien and I know there's a large town called Saint-Felicien in Quebec which is probably from settlers from here! I'll speak to my husband but I'm not sure there's much more we can help with apart from that, as the surname doesn't crop up in our archives in spite of the name of the chateau! The tree is beautiful. My two artificial trees are up. No children but 7 ferrets. They like to steal the decorations and roll them around.😊Gee Sounds like my place. By the time you get your stuff together it’s ferret or in your case children time. Meal time and before you know it. It’s to Late to start anything. Oh well tomorrow. Amy you guys get your important stuff done first. Stress is well stressful. 😩 I don’t know how you 2 manage to get things done and then film. The children are always first. No brainer. Come to think of it. Most of the other chateaus have no children. So we hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and all the best in the new year. Good to see you Amy. My sons are grown, but when they were young we used to cut down our Christmas trees (juniper trees, not traditional here) from our families acres. In fact there was a time when we too cut down two trees and tied them together in an attempt to make it look full. I didn't know that anyone else did that. Take your time making videos. I will enjoy them when you post.
