So glad to see Marc up and around! ♥️♥️♥️ Rug races! 😁🤣😁 Wow, that space is so much brighter and more pleasant already - very much a good call to do that now, even if you won’t finish it soon. A pity you haven’t found a secret diary yet - awesome story, and thanks for the link. But fun to find some mystery sketches. Plus the new puzzle of the archway. The dendocronology sounds like a great student project/practice session for the university of Lyon. “Here kid, this could be from any time or place, do your best.” 😁 Fun to see the kids joining in, Clement with his classic enthusiasm and great brush-work, and Juliet with her always-intense concentration. ♥️♥️♥️ I’m looking forward to the next chapter in the chateau, and to head back to the garden next week.

What an exciting episode, loved how the children were right in with the work and having fun at it. Yes, you are correct, the hallway without the fabric wallpaper looks so much better. Great discovery that you have original wooden doors under there. A great hack for stripping off the additional paper would be to add a bit of fabric softener to the water in the steamer. It helps to hold the moisture into the paper backing a wee bit longer and keeps the fibers softer until you can remove them. It also makes any area you are working on smell so much nicer too. Best to all of you from a very hot (114 degrees Fahrenheit today) in Central California.
