This was a really enjoyable video! It's great to see a mix of professional and personal activities, it brings something authentic and it's nice to see your personnality shines through. There are three important things I wanted to say about this video: 1. Your dog is super cute; 2. I am very jealous of your antler cutting board; 3. Earmuffs can also be very useful where I live in Montreal, I have long hair and I get it 😅.

Hahahaha all very important and valid points, thanks a lot Charlotte:) My dog is the cutest, the board is quite fun and the earmuffs really fulfill their function! I hope those little details will make winter more enjoyable:)

I appreciate all your help share on your channel. Social media gives me anxiety which is a large part of why I rarely post on either my art or farm channel. I just wanted to let say that when its overwhelming you please know that no interaction is even needed. I genuinely enjoy just watching you work or even the little texts telling whats going on is enough. As a photographer the videos look professionally done and can imagine the time put into all those cuts and clips w music🙈🙌🏼 Happy Holidays and New Year

Thanks so much for the comment April! Social media has this effect, but also is a freelancer’s best friend 💔 I super appreciate your comment, especially the edition appreciation. Can you imagine at one point, when the video was almost ready, all the audio and video got unsynchronized …? Top frustration level achieved together with a promise I’d never make another one with Premiere, but I already have some ideas for the next ones 😉

Just found this video, I love your work and your studio! It's soooo pretty! And as a Dutchie myself I feel you about the dark weather. I just saw a glimpse of the sun and.. it's already gone?? 😭 Anyway, love this video and your dog is a cutie.

Hi Angelica thank you so much! I’m thinking about doing a little studio tour:) And yes the darkness is hard to handle, today I also saw some sun, and by the time I put on the boots and the jacket to leave, it was gone…I’ll share the compliment with my dog!!!🧡

Hi Asia, I really enjoyed this video format. It was very interesting to get a peak into your life. Just a little question: when you illustrate on your IPad, do you make some edits on photoshop before exporting / sending the file to a client or you just use Procreate from start to finish ? Thanks for sharing this video 😊
@AsiaOrlando19 күн бұрын
Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yes I always do some editing in PS, from a cleanup to sometimes building additional effects of an illustration, depending on the project:)

Such a lovely video, Asia! I love how you approach art and life❤ I have a question: How many hours do you work on illustration every day, on an average? And what is your maximum limit per day? I'm an artist, and I struggle with working long hours...i get so much fatigue painting just for 3hrs in a day😭 I would love if you have any tips on how to get a lot of work done without getting tired. Thanks for your lovely videos, i enjoy them so much :)

Hi! Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed it!:) I don’t have a fixed number of hours I work every day. I can say I work too much and for too long and I’ve been working (pun intended:) on changing that:) There are a couple of things that tend to help with working for a long time that can for example be how you feel about the project ( when you’re really into the thing you’re currently working on it’s easier to get absorbed and get into flow), feeling pressure of time, having a very strong list of objectives to check off the to-do list… I think what personally helps me is that I’m hyper organized and very applied, but of course it happens often that I didn’t achieve to fulfill my day goals, haven’t been productive or simply had a bad day. You’re not the first artist though sharing that they struggle with managing work, so I think a video will be coming about that, maybe it will be helpful🤞
@unnamed655620 күн бұрын
@AsiaOrlando Haha, loved the pun :) Yes, this is very helpful. I'm working on being more organised- i have recently managed to delete instagram app from phone; turned out it was the biggest distraction for me, not to mention the extent to which it had reduced my attention span. Now it's been a couple of weeks without the app and I feel so much sense of clarity that can easily focus on work. I think i should continue with this :) Re video: Yes, would love a video on this topic whenever you can make one, I'm sure everybody will enjoy it. Thank you so much Asia for your response, this really made me feel less alone :) Have a nice day. 🌱

@AsiaOrlando12 күн бұрын

the actual process of finding clients. everyone is eager to teach but nobody wants to share how they find and approach clients. how many attempts does it actually take without Instagram and other social media cuz they are just the by-product
@AsiaOrlando21 күн бұрын
I believe the thing is that we all share our perspective and what we find is useful for others. The truth is that we all follow the same steps to find clients - there are no secret ways of doing it. I hope there were though as it would be so much easier :) Every artist and every client is different, everyone has their own ways. Some clients are onboard with one email, some with many months of back and forth. Sometimes it’s also “the right time right place”… there are many factors The reason why few artists share this, is because the answer is not straightforward and quick and can do more harm than good because each artist is at a different stage I can def make a full video about this. In short finding new clients is a lot of work over a period of time and takes following certain steps that could be simplified as the following: get your portfolio in top shape, research markets and clients you want to work with, reach out to them only when your porfolio is ready for their eyes, etc.
