Yes, syttende Mai. I commented yesterday on the Norwegian traditions of my home area in Wisconsin, USA. In the town of Stoughton they still celebrate Syttende Mai. Great to see the real thing. We also had a wonderful church dinner around this time of year. Oh, the great food and deserts. Lefse (potato bread) was a favorite.

Hi Gary ! Thanks for the encouraging message. It s great to have this feedback cause we try to share what we liked doing but we know it might not be the most interesting for all. So we are thrilled to have people enjoying the content as it is. Good luck with the big box haha that’s going to keep you busy a bit for sure. Yes May was good, it is really all shifting in those few weeks cause we met few travelers who had the worst conditions in the north of Norway just two weeks before us.

We really like your way of traveling, your enthusiasm and your youth are completely contagious! we are currently updating our Defender for our next trip. we have a drink (apéro) and watching your videos every week. it would be great to meet you one day on a dirt track or road somewhere. you could be our children and it's really funny to see that the sympathy for other people doesn´t care about the origin or the age but simply about the good feeling. Another great video. One day I will also take my Defender "Lizzy" to those islands. We are planning to do Southern Norway and the fjords next year. How do find all those off the beaten track places?

You’ll love it! I use google maps to look at streets going off the path and into the woods or beach where I don’t see houses from google maps. Or I use the app MapOut it tells me which streets are not main roads, and then I check with google maps if I see a house or not. Otherwise there is the app park4night & ioverlander whcih are community apps of people telling you where they parked with photos and comments. That’s the easiest way. Sometimes though you’ll find other travelers there, especially in the summer.
