Join us for part 4 of our ocean Adventure from Kitimat to the SanJuan Islands! This trip we cross the border and enjoy the islands and explore! We had sunny weather the entire time! We both have sunburns! Our favorite place in the San Juans was the Sucia Islands 😍 Part 5 will be coming out soon! Next week! We sre slowly heading back up north.

I grew up in the San Juans and then spent 7 years in Terrace BC so all your Kitimat references ring very true. You may not harvest oysters there but the Dungeness crab we got there and in Rupert were legendary and I still tell stories about Haida Gwai scallops.

Yes our crabs are good! I must say that! I lived in terrace too for a while 1986-1994 😀

The San Juan islands, probably my favorite place in the world. As a kid I spent the summers there and as an adult I dream of retiring there. The plan is to retire to Anacortes and cruise the islands and beyond. Thanks for sharing, this vacation of yours is kinda special for me. Thank you for the returning memories.

We loved the Islands. So neat to adventure. It’s just different than what we have up Northern BC in our rainforest. It’s neat to take the different trails. The deer are everywhere too and racoons. That is cool! We want to go to Vancouver Island to retire but Anacortes would be amazing too!

Yes usually we wouldn’t have gone to such a big event. A couple of times we were wanting to back out 🤣😂. We changed our minds and wow it was actually fun! We enjoyed it all in the end. The fireworks were amazing. 🤩

Yes it is busy! We aren’t used to anchoring so close! But we do find it entertaining to boat watch and people watch. If we lived down here we would want to escape all that lol.
