Great Vlog! I agree, having space to relax in the space you are traveling is so needed. I am learning that more and more. Even just in a long weekend trip I am realizing I need space between activities. It’s also needed for kids. My son is 9 now, but he can only handle so much activity even if it’s doing things he loves.

Yes!! I used to feel guilty for taking the downtime but it’s sooo needed to sort of reset your nervous system

wait wait wait - you are going from one side of London to another, with a child, for dinner, without any big bags for this kids' stuff? I am actually impressed of how chill you seem to be with your life as a parents. That may sound weird but here in Paris, people seem to show parents' life as "difficult", having to carry 1 thousand stuff to entertain the kids, and this and that... and you seem to live this new life effortlessly. That brings me so much joy as we hope to have a kid in the coming years but I don't want to be like those stressed out parents who travel as if they were moving boxes just because they have a kid. on another note - I really enjoy your weekly vlogs and I'm so happy that you keep the faith even though you are v busy with traveling/settling down at the moment.

Aww this is such a compliment, thank you. That’s how parenting is in the US too and it can feel so overwhelming. We didn’t want it to be like that though so have tried to make different choices when we can. I personally hate carrying a diaper bag so we just put a few things he may need in a canvas tote we all share. He can eat and drink what they have at the restaurant or nurse with me, so he really just needs a diaper or two, wipes, and a toy or two. It’s of course not as relaxing of a dinner as it would be with just me and Clayton, but it’s so worth it IMO. It’s fun sharing those experiences with our lil guy :)
