I’ve learned this from my mentor. “Fair Value Gaps” are just Order Blocks. We use Order Blocks to trade. It’s the best way to trade in my opinion. It tells you how, when, and where the market is going. Usually find the void in the OB on 15m and refine them to 5 or 1m for entry. Use session highs and lows with the trend with OB’s. Imbalance and void always needs to be filled thus making the strategy a higher success rate. You won’t win every trade, but 70% I’d say is extraordinary
@Mapo2522 жыл бұрын
The way ICT teaches it, in his 2016 mentorship, FVG are exactly that, a gap in the fair value trade of the item, and OB are orders that cause a movement in the opposite direction. The difference is that a valid OB needs to create a BOS but a FVG doesn't, and that the FVG function as the places of order instead of the last up/down candle.
@sejfabbas24062 жыл бұрын
If im not mistaken The term orderblock was firstly introduced by ICT aswell. He mentions in his mentorship that a few actually know The definition of The orderblock 👀

FVG and order blocks are not the same thing on the chart …. Please study more
@curtishaut15502 жыл бұрын
@@Forex-vj7dc the void that is being marked on the charts as a FVG has an order block exactly in that same area. An order block is simply a void in the market created by banks when pushing the price in a certain direction in which leaves a void. As one said in the comments above, would usually look for a BOS as the banks will then return to that “FVG” “Void” “OB” thus mitigating the area and moving back into the direction it wanted to.

Knowing that trading would being from a fixed time allowed me to decompress rather than always having the thought in the back of my head that any minute I can get a signal. I no longer fret about missing the move as its not part of my plan to be looking at the charts at that time. Also if a person does not have the patience to look at a video 1hr long, it maybe a struggle to sit in front of charts for hours every day.

Great video, keep in mind it is going to take time to get good at this. But believe me, once you enter ICT it is very hard to stop if you genuinely put in the work, you will see it play out in your charts every week on different pairs, and it is hard to unsee it. One of the problems you might get is being scared of missing moves, putting emphasis on precision which is good but you don't need it to be profitable. Every week I see this stuff play out. The only thing you will need is solid discipline and risk management because I can tell you even if you have 1:3 RR, you only need 30% strike rate to be profitable, ICT concepts with experience you can get a higher win rate, but always keep this in mind that you don't have to be very good to be profitable.
