I notice that when I posted everyday on October, and return to 1 post a week the month after, Ig killed my engagement, basically it's a miracle if 5-20% of the people that follows me sees my stuff, and tbh I don't really have that much followers either. Your art is so peaceful and whimsical! Curious to know what kind of pencil and paper you use to sketch? I would like to get into illustration but unsure where to start material-wise. Love your work!

The sketchbook I'm working in is a Ryman sketchbook. So its nothing fancy! I only ever do pencil sketches in there but I really like the size and feel of it. My go to pencils are faber castel 2B or 3B, either one will do. The one I was using in this video is a random one though as I ran out my usual ones!

Honestly I'm finding be a creative so difficult with Instagram... I put a post out asking others and it seems to be a lot of us. I have lost hunders of followers recently too... I have no idea how to grow my account without paying for ads or going 'viral'! I feel that its changed so much as a platform that I am now just trying to create content I enjoy and that if people see it then great. But it is difficult! Sending love xxxx

I think thats the best way to look at it, make what you love! It can be disheartening, especially when I rely on people seeing my work to get orders on my shop so I can have an income that month. But from my experience with instagram is theres lots of highs and lows. I'm just gonna keep persevering with it! But I have found my self using it less and less at my feed is mainly filled with ads and suggested posts these days! Oh well, there are worser problems to have hey!! Have a lovely day :)

Hi Em, could you do an updated tools/devices you use video? I'm interested in getting my own printer so I can print my own pieces but I'm not sure where to start- I know you've got a few vids already that have been super useful, but I was just wondering what your experience has been with that printer and would you still recommend it? :)

I should have a video coming out soon where I show how I get digital version of my art, but its mainly by taking photographs and then editing the pictures in photoshop :)
