Recipes for todays video:
Perfect buttermilk Pancakes
1 cup whole wheat
1 cup all purpose
4 tsp baking powder
4 Tbl brown sugar or honey
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup butter milk
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup oil or melted butter
Summer Hash
5 or 6 potatoes microwaved for 5 minutes or until tender
saute half pound of breakfast sausage
1/2 cup onion diced
1 cup fresh garden veg diced
chop tender potatoes and saute with sausage and veg
top with cheese and fried eggs
Lemon Poppy seed muffins
Ingredients
FOR THE STREUSEL:
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. coarse sanding sugar, divided
1 tsp. lemon zest
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, cold and cubed
FOR THE MUFFINS:
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. lemon zest (from about 4 lemons)
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
2 Tbsp. poppy seeds
1/2 c. buttermilk, room temperature
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice (from about 2 lemons)
1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Yellow gel paste food coloring (optional)
FOR THE GLAZE:
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon zest
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Yellow gel paste food coloring (optional)

I love mulberries. I don't know how you harvested them. Put a sheet or clean tarp on the ground or have the kids hold the corners. Shake the limbs. Ripe berries will fall onto the sheet. My grandpa used to climb into the tree and he really made the limbs shake. Grandma made the best mulberty pie. Wonderful memories.

I too use the microwave to soften up potatos first then fry in a bit of oil or butter ...They get done faster in the morning 's when cooking breakfast 🌷

Did you say the scones were your recipe for hamburger buns and it was just the dough you had frozen and then broke apart and fried? What did you fry them in? Those muffins looked amazing!
