i get that you do what you want, but for entertainment purposes you really should branch out a bit. there are so many weird fruits/veg you could try for this kind of video. it's the same with most of your week-ons...a bit of variety would be great, otherwise it is all just samey.

What I didn't realise is that when you increase your fibre you also have to massively increase your water as the fibre soaks it up. Otherwise you end up more bunged up than before you started!

Regarde less of how much juice you have, it can only count as one of your five a day!

Surely Cadbury fruit & nut, fruit pies, sultana pancakes, blueberry muffins, strawberry ice cream, jam doughnuts, fruit muller corners, banana or strawberry milkshakes, counts as 1 of your 10 a day! 🙌

You should be proud of Viral. It's a REALLY GOOD book. Twists that I didn't see coming, villains you want to punch in the face, solid writing, and a desire to read more by you. Looking forward to when Netflix buys the movie rights then you and The Dom can get together to do a Lost In Adaptation of it. ;-)

making a big change to try and eat the plant-based foods you need in a day is admirable, and I know it can be hard (I've been trying to do this particular diet myself, permanently, for a couple of years now) but the thing you have to keep in mind is that you're supposed to have more veg then fruit, and the juices don't really do it. Fruit is mostly sugars, and while they're "healthy" type of sugars, compared to what we're used to eating, they can still throw you completely out of whack. Also, the good parts of the fruit and veg are the fibers and pulpy solid bits, so when you drink fruit juice without pulp, you're literally just drinking pure sugars. Still, it's a start, and these things are best done slowly, so you make small changes over time before finally getting where you need to be.

It’s mildly enriched sugar water. The fiber (fibre, to a Brit) is an important part of fruit, and it doesn’t do to omit it. Of course, I eat hardly any fruit, because I’m a type 1 diabetic and it spikes my blood sugar...

Not much variety in your diet. I doubt it’s healthy to just eat lots of the same fruit and veg. For fruit why not have some pears, Kiwi, dragon fruit , peach, watermelon, papaya, cantaloupe, etc? This would have been more interesting if you had varied your fruit and veg .

I will never understand how he can claim to research the weeks in advance but not discover that you should only count juice once regardless of how many different juices, and that non-juiced fruit and veg only count once for each type. Or that you should eat more veg than fruit.

How have you gone your whole life not knowing that you can't repeat any of your 5 a days? 300ml of orange juice is not 2 of your 5/10 a day?? they teach that in primary school Edit: and a further juice doesn't count and neither does that second and third apple or the second burger hun
@Whiskeyklone5 жыл бұрын
They didn't teach that in school when Mike was at school because 5-a-day is a very new (and arbitrary) concept. Began in the USA in the late 80s and wasn't introduced in the UK until 2002! Also, it depends which source of information you check to see if repeating 'doesn't count' or not. Seems to be something taught to children to stop them gorging their one favourite but it has no basis in fact. Apply a little thought and critical thinking, hun.
@simonorourke44655 жыл бұрын
It does count, the whole thing about not repeating the same thing is good advice but even the NHS will tell you that advice is all it is. It is better to vary your portions as best as you can due to the fact that different fruit and veg contain different things that are good for you. However repeating some portions will be fine as it really is silly to asume that one apple counts as one portion but two or three apples apples still only counts as one portion. The same goes for juice. It's always best to try and vary stuff but if you can't then just having the extra fruit or veg is vest.
@fireflights19775 жыл бұрын
And just a bit of info for you those type of juice drinks the one you just showed the m&s thing not going to help you go number two cuz it doesn't contain fiber because all the fiber was in the actual vegetable and fruit and it was removed because there's no pulp in there so that means there's no fiber or very little fiber if they've gotten fiber in there. so if you were looking to see if that would help you with your problem even though you went today which is good for you buddy but it'll give you your vegetables on the one a day thing which is good and that's pretty much all you're trying to show but yeah I try to stay away from juices because they really don't give you as much benefit as you would think
@herbiehusker18895 жыл бұрын

good grief... one small apple = one fruit, one large banana = 3 fruits, 1/2 cup of cooked veggies = one veggie, 1 cup of raw veggie = one veggie ... i think you are eating 20 or more portions of fruits & veggies per day lolllllll
@commie30005 жыл бұрын
Mike, I know it's a meme to say 'you're doing it wrong' in the comments but you genuinely have done this completely wrong. You can't eat the same fruit or vegetable and count it as two portions. You should have used an app like Cronometer to see if you was hitting all your vitamins & minerals. Also, eating that amount of fruit and drinking so much juice will mean your sugar intake will be morbid. This is how Steve Jobs died.

Okay but fruit and vegetables most people complain and say they can’t have the 5 a day or 10 a day in this case because of the cost per person per day so a good point to put in for this would be to talk about the cost of the week for just you over the course of the week
