You could also have made pancakes with banana in place of egg topped with berries and a fruit juice, some veg soup with side salad and a banana, then Ur dinner with a side of veg, some more fruit juice, and a dessert made from fruit. I.e. pear and blackcurrant crumble? X would have been 10 a day too just more cooking lol X

idk if you know this but juice only counts for one portion even if you drink 1l of it. It's one of the least healthy ways of consuming fruit. delicious though.

Yeah but a list of fruits off the top of my head: Apple Orange Plum Pear Peach Grapes Cherry Watermelon Cantelope Honeydew melon Strawberry Blackberry Raspberry Blueberry And if I think about it for an extra couple seconds: Banana Grapefruit Pineapple Dragonfruit (never had one but I'd be curious) LOTS of fruit should be available somewhere. And if he wanted to get fancy, he could freeze sliced banana and strawberries then put them in a food processor and make ice cream. That has to be a couple fruit portions right there.

@@spiritualdisciple8153 No you're meant to use a pizza sauce. Unfortunately, they aren't the only Brits I've known to use the paste (I was even guilty of it when learning to cook). You can use the paste to make the sauce, but it's not a sauce on its own 😂

@@JustAnotherLondoner I make my own, reducing down tinned tomatoes as many sauces have sugar in them, which I don't eat. But I agree, most people use a ready made sauce. I noticed the amount of paste he used and frankly, if I had any respect for Mike's "suicide" approach to food and diabetes I too would have commented on the paste on the pizza. But I now understand how he enjoys risking his life with pineapple juice, and such sugary foods, so I let it go. :)

It depends on which country you're in and which culinary tradition which they follow. In Britain were Mike and I live our food tends to follow the French culinary tradition due to the close association between our two countries over the years, which means we use the French name for the vegetable which is courgette. In the us and some other countries there culinary traditions were influenced by the Italian tradition due to the vast amount of Italians who settled there. The Italian name for a courgette is zucchini so many countries use that name instead. It is the exact same reason why in Britain we refer to the small peppery salad leaves as rocket. But the US and some other countries use the Italian name of arugula, it just depends on which culinary traditions your country sticks to more closely.
