The quality of the video is tremendous - so crisp, clear and true to the real colours. It is too bad you didn't stay longer and capture more of that fabulous city, like Moray Place in the New Town, more of the Stockbridge area including the colonies on Glenogle Road...or even get out to Crammond or down to Portobello and Leith, all along the waterfront. There are also great residential areas...Marchmont, Morningside, Bruntsfield...on the other side of the Meadows, which is just a few minutes walk from Victoria Street or the top of the Vennel, which is the name of the steps you were on leading down into the Grassmarket that provided the great view of the castle. Still, this was very enjoyable, and you did it in style by staying at the Caledonian (or the 'Caley' as locals call it), which is now part of the Waldorf-Astoria franchise. What you might not know is that the hotel was originally part of a major train station owned by Caledonian Railways, and the large dining area was once part of that. Hopefully you will return.

And Edinburgh looks awful. Grey and dirty. Little to see or do. The Castle is not impressive. The food looks unappetising. Why go?
