My age 72yr old as a boy my friends and I would play in the woods making den's and playing on rope swings making small fire's a few months ago I took my 11yr grandson into the woods and made a small fire he was so happy helping me it was a cold day but when we got back home my wife and daughter wasn't happy with me

Mr Mears mentions the Scouts, always thought it a great great great shame that Ray wasn’t made Chief Scout, I’ve really nothing against Bear Grylls at all but it should’ve been Ray.

@ I understand exactly why they chose Bear, I like Teddy Grylls meself but i think Mears was the better choice. He’d have taken Scouting back to its roots and it’d have been all the better for that. In my opinion.

Most people who hunt, fish, or watch wildlife will own some camouflage clothing. Army surplus is also usually cheaper than specialized hunting camo.

Yes @ 1:42 dopey call centre middle.managers. wouldn't last 5 minutes in the army. Imagine coffee break with Keith and Tarquin on Monday morning! Lizards.

I try and not to get camo stuff but as a few have said it's often cheaper army surplus stuff and tough, recently I have bought British army webbing as I can put carry my stuff more comfortably than a backpack as I have arthritis in my spine, but I do feel like a bit of a prat in it

If he did who cares, he was filming a documentary on what others did, not a lesson on how to survive, more a story of what the brave soldiers had to do to keep alive.

@@TheDavewatts The whole point of the show was as survival expert showing us how to survive. The Norwegians on the show stayed out, the survival expert made it through the night in a hotel thankfully. KZbin is full of videos of content creators staying out in similar conditions in places like Alaska, but Ray found his way to do it🤣

@stokes8762 well if I was in a survival situation and could find a hotel I'd be in it like a shot 😂👍🏻. I think there are better people to learn from regarding survival, Lofty Wiseman for one, I see Ray as Mr Bushcraft.
