Hello Graeme , my 8 year old son and I have recently found your channel and we are really enjoying it so Thank you for posting these videos. You remind me of fishing as a boy with my grandad and dad, except those two were constantly bickering about bait, rigs, the weather you bloody name it. It's great because now I get to take my son fishing and teach him all the handed down "lore" and show him how beautiful and fun the British countryside and it's wildlife are, we have both picked up some great "tips" from you so Thank you. Your reel coming off during a double take was bloody hilarious, It actually had my laughing out loud and getting a funny look from my wife haha. Funny how it only seems to happen at the worst possible time, sods law I guess. Anyway please keep the videos coming.

Spent a lazy day here in frozen Minnesota watching a bunch of your carp videos and I cant get enough! I have recently come around to carp fishing after about 55 years of trying to avoid them, lol. Lots of nice big ones here in the backwaters of the mississippi river. Really interested in all of the different baits and rigs that you have, I'm not sure if half of that stuff is even available around here but it is fun learning about it anyway. My big question at the moment is what is the purpose of the little mat that you lay the fish on? My best guess is that it helps keep the fish from losing too much of its protective slime? Love the videos and you sprinklng in a bit of humor here and there. A lot of winter to get through so I'm afraid it's going to be April or May before I feel a carp on the end of my line again but at least I have your videos...Thanks for putting them out!
@TAFishingАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I think my Carp fishing is done for the winter as well. The mat is for keeping the slime on the fish as you say,and protects them from ground.

I had an air rifle serviced there and collected it on Wednesday and mentioned I was surprised to see him pop up on one of your vids and he said you were going to be there on Friday Unfortunately it was my sons birthday and he had asked to go fishing which I had agreed to. We went to Willow Park fishery near Ash and managed one nice common carp, so that made his day. I live in Camberley so hope I have the good fortune to bump into you in Grants one day.
