Join us on this week's adventure as we brave the wild weather of the Lake District National Park in the OEX Bobcat 1 once again! Despite the forecasted strong winds and rain, we were determined to pitch our tents and soak in the breathtaking views. However, Mother Nature had other plans, and flooding forced us to seek shelter in a calmer spot.
But don't worry, the adventure doesn't stop there! Despite the setback, we made the most of our time, laughing the night away with good food and a few cheeky beers. I even managed to find the tightest, smallest spot to pitch my tent ever! While it might not have been perfect for sleeping, the stunning views more than made up for it.
Throughout the journey, I was joined by Chris, Mark & Andy, and I'm incredibly grateful to them for inviting me along on this amazing adventure. So, come along and experience the thrill of wild weather camping with us in the Lake District! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more outdoor adventures.

I bought a Bobcat a few days ago and I'm setting it up in the garden today. Will it be ok in wind If I take it up in the Peak District? I could mod it, but I'm scared of buggering it up.

I've not had much chance to use my Bobcat 1 in anger, but I pitched it in the garden during one of the big storms earlier in the year and it took 30mph+ winds for a couple of days with no problem. It was rock solid. Love the editing in your vids. Thanks for another one!

Hiya, this is my first watch and thought I’d get your take on a night out with pals. Sorry to hear you didn’t fell to good but certainly looked a great adventure. Yep stayed in plenty of bothy mostly on long hikes in Scotland, usually for me it’s better if you’re there on your own. Anyway ATB Ant. Cheers 👍🏕️

Really nicely put together video again Ant... I was watching Andy the Mountain Machine Wardles' vid last night🤣, but I only got half way, as I've had painful stomach probs last night☹️, so had to pause it & got the rest to watch later...👍 I like the way you pull out the front cover of the Bobcat, I'm guessing the hikepoles lifted it abit higher & keeps the guylines out of the way...?? & I could also do similar with door, as I like to have that out as a canopy, if not too windy, but it is a great litte tent or to use as a day shelter with just the Flysheet, I have other tents that i use more, as usually with dog, but as a 1 man hike or stealth camp tent it get my vote...👍😄 Best wishes...
@AntSurviveTheNight
@AntSurviveTheNight 5 ай бұрын
Hi Kev, hope your feeling better pal. Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the reason I lift the front of the Bob up is to lift it away from the door so I don't have to stoop when I'm looking out or getting in and out. I have a real bad back you see mate and something like this really helps me because if you think how many times you stoop it's mind blowing haha. Yes, good idea with the door too buddy, I'll get some para cord on the bottom of the door and try that next time I'm out. Yeah in the summer months I'm sure if you take the inner out you'd get two people sleeping in that. Yeah if you have a big dog there's no chance you could cope in the Bobcat mate I bet. Big thanks for watching and your comment Kev, I appreciate it pal.

Great video Ant (And Chris, Andy and Mark) I love how the plucky little Bobcat holds it's own in the company of much more expensive tents. And I think you have probably given it one of the most rigorous workouts seen on KZbin

Morning Ivan, thank you very much. Yes, the Bobcat is just the perfect tent. For a little cost you can get out and experience wild camping throughout the year (depending on the rest of your kit that is) you can definitely get out in some bad weather in it, I'm just trying to work out how much wind it can withstand but can't 😄. Thanks very much for your comment Ivan
