Whenever I'm outdoors, camping or not, it's a flat cap for me 90% of the time (I have everything from thin cotton ones to insulated tweed ones) and then just a beanie for the colder weather. Though I do have a very very thin baseball cap for the really hot and sunny weather. Not that we see that very often 🤣

Happy belated birthday mate, I am catching you up. Great video and i see Leon got himself in the motorhome instead of the bobcat, hope he didnt sleepwalk. Loud in the bluebell wasnt it.Great pub crawl and tour of the site which looked decent .Meals looked great and tasty and check you out going all lightweight camping on us.I would be very interested on how easy the process is and gear needed to do as those meals are expensive to buy from camping shops. Great down to earth Vids pal so keep up the good work fellas.

Yeah it was a fun experience getting round all them pubs mate. Yeah the dehydrated meals are a new thing for me, watch this space Andrew, news things are a foot 😆. Yeah those meals are ridiculously over priced but I must say, they are freeze dried as apposed to dehydrated. Big thanks pal for your awesome comments each video Andrew

Yeah the locals were a decent bunch, only got told "what's he filming for" once 😆 🤣. Yeah definitely the way to go for me mate as you can take good wholesome home cooked food with you but not the weight! Just waiting in a lightweight back pack yo arrive now and I'm all set for ultra lightweight camping pal. Yeah, thats one of the reasons I wanted to start dehydrating, for the canoe/pack raft trips, so much easier and lighter. Big thanks for watching pal

Happy birthday mate👍 Looks like you had a great sesh. Nice to see you visiting a few of my local 'haunts' 😂. The Black Swan is much better in winter, when they have a log fire in that back room. Takes on a whole different atmosphere. The Blue Bell is a bit of a gem. That's Hazy's (Haze Outdoors) local. Did you get into Pivney, opposite Val Hala? That's a great pub. Surprised you didn't visit York's worst kept secret, The House of The Trembling Madness, on Stonegate. Give me a shout when you're back next and I'll give you a guided tour 😉

I've haunted a few pubs over there! And got caspered, so much I agreed to get in a large wooden boat with some Scandinavian types and row it up and down the Ouse, don't ask! Very ingenius device, k have o e too. Tend to use spirit burner with it as its more controllable. It works different from other kettles, from top down rather than bottom up. Looking to make a slight mod, to retain heat, if not cooking on the top, so you dont get covered in soot and smoke.

Really enjoyed your walk around but it’s too light weight for me, and more money than I want to lay out for budget camping. My Dutch Army tent in canvas comes in at a manageable 6.6kg and opens both sides. The light weight tent is ideal for competition type events abroad. I personally think the British Army Basha at 998 grams is a good contender for light weight camping on a budget. Tents are going the same way bikes went, too technical

I have a similar tent the allpkit solo and whilst it's lite weight and has the benefit of being freestanding, the limited front entry space is always a pain having to crawl in and out. I much prefer the banche with its side opening but when weight and pack space are factors I still take the alpkit. Thanks for the review, always good value for money the vangos.
