Are birds has started out the same way here in Illinois, I managed to out my first two tags, but there wasn’t anything easy about it. Especially when they hit the ground and shut up. But another great job Dave, stay after em Pardner

Florida here our gobblers started off tight lipped but they loosened up after the first week. We got a lot of rain too...always plan to get wet when you hunt here, just saying. Congrats.

The first week they only responded to shotgun blasts as a locator call. I turkey hunted Florida for the first time this year. I got there for the 2nd day of the season and didn't hear a gobble until after I shot one. He hit the ground and his buddy sounded off on with one quick gobble, then shut back up.
