Happy New Year to you, Mabel and the foxes of course 🙂. We've got some heavy snow forcast tonight and tomorrow so I'm off to my plot soon to protect my broad beans and a few other bits. What a great gift the heater is 🙂. Thanks for the tip about Kings Seeds.

@Allotment_life Hi. The broad beans had already flopped over - maybe thats the cold weather. I'm not really sure as its the first time I've grown them - they're under veggie mesh so at least they won't get blanketed by snow if it comes :-). My garlic is doing well so I've covered that bed with veggie mesh too. All good fun :-).

@ if it’s covered with veggie mesh hopefully it will survive the snow🤞🏼. Hardly any falling here and will have melted by morning I’m sure.

Hope your Christmas was good. Work has stopped here now, gonna be at least a week before i can do anything to tidy up etc. Still have parsnips in the ground and a few swede to get up...but the ground is frozen solid and now snow for the weekend.

@@Zinnia82 oh yes the ground will be frozen solid now, I think that if I get any snow Saturday night it will have melted by Sunday morning as going up to 12° and rain
