Disclaimer: I do this in a kind of commentator notes format so pardon the mess and any spoilers. Ollie thinking he is the one in danger, then Dakota is the one with the problem. Awe Olley and Emi contemplating buying a house, and all the hilarity that came from that. Well vision gone awry is pretty much Ava's default. Though man you really don't want to roll that bad when lost in WoD Wonderland. Though you'd think after this she'd realize how stupid it is not learning basic celerity by this point in her kindred life. Okay so the Rack was actually reopened, after the bombing. Was wondering why you kept referencing why don't they go feed at the Rack. The bit through gift giving Olley feels so strange for this chronicle. All it took was getting rid of Zach and a Shadow, for them to have a night of peace and some levity. Also dear lord Dakota's been stealing skateboards for decades. Honestly Emi and Dakota are kind of right not to want to be photographed that much, given the age issue. Guessing Emi was expecting an oblivion problem and not a vision foretelling her final death problem. Man Grant managing to find his one bit of supernatural knowledge to actually impress Ava, and somehow he got a date out of the Witch of the Yards with that.

What do the rules say about vampires that live in places that get midnight sun? Do they have to sleep until the sun finally sets? What about polar nights?

Also Chicago gets about 6 hours and 30 minutes this time of year (late April) according to timeanddate, are VTM nights a standardized length of time? (Like 8 hours or so?)

They would have to sleep yes! Very few Kindred live out in those areas for that reason. If the actual sun is out = Kindred must be away from it. It is specifically the Sun, as it's a magical curse and not scientific etc. So the moonlight, which is technically sunlight reflected off the surface of the moon, doesn't effect them because the curse is directly tied to the sun/day.

I think it's up to the storyteller to decide on the midnight sun thing. Surely it would be a challenging situation for the players and their characters, and perhaps nearly impossible to play as a normal story/campaign. Try to imagine the setting is in Alaska... About the length of the nights there are no specific rules on it. Let's say that a night takes as long as it need to last, without making it last like 15hrs or something crazier. If I was a storyteller, I would make it last like from 9pm to 6am or something like that, just for the sake of durations and last minute stuff, or do like Mathas does which is like "you have a couple of hours left", whatever the night time is.

I think places like Alaska and Northern Finland does not have vampires during the summer, because the sun being up for almost all night. In the winter though when sunlight only appear for a few hours, you bet there will be vampires.
