The mother in-law has suffered for real. Everyone is so proud in that family. I was in support of of Miri at first but wow she was a POS.

If only the parents offered the same support to the daughter that they provided to the son? It was acceptable for the single son to have a child out of wedlock, but not the daughter? Also, the daughter did nothing wrong. It is not selfish to want to claim and raise your child. It is selfish for the family to not offer the same support they did to the son. Forget your dumb feelings when it comes to those types of secrets. She behaved as any new mother. Any mother would be hyper protective and want to control the care of their child. Yes there is push in pull in thos situations, but the parents and grandparents didn't allow that to naturally occur. I would also be hypervigilant against people that felt my child was a curse on me because they felt I was the pride and joy of the family until the birth.

I'm sorry I'm commenting so much but the more I watch this the more I get upset. The backwards thinking of the parents and grand parents. I felt bad for the daughter but she's a brat too. This show is just nuts to me... I know it's not my culture so it's different and I mean no disrespect, but the arranged marriage and how they are so worried about social class is something I'm not used to. But I love Korean movies and shows and plan to make a trip to Korea and learn more about the people and culture.

They say movies truly tell the stories of different cultures, areas, and ppl cause the Asian culture love social status and image over everything while completely destroying loved ones and ppl lives all at the same time but it doesn't matter as long as the person walking down the street who they don't know ish about likes them in some high regard that's crazy to me . Not being a doctor and saving lives matter but instead if your popular or not no wonder suicide is so high over there it's like never graduating from high school imagine being a old fart and still acting like the popular boy and girl in school 😂

No she's not. She's the only one that wanted to raise her daughter and not pawn her off on someone else. They all only thought about reputation. It also seems like Miri wanted to have a good relationship with her mother but because of reasons explained they didnt have one. The parents are too busy tryna control their children. Nobody thinks of others. Miri has the world on her shoulders. No communication.
