Hi there! I watched the full game a couple of days ago, casted by Michael. I remenber the race for Etemenanki, and yes, that was game changer. Nice to see the best moments from your point of view. Rome could nuked England or/and Mongolia, but he choosed to target you, i figure cos considered you the highest treat. Despite of that, you manage to get third. Well played. Not enougth, but good enougth. I play Civ6 on Ps4, a minor leage, no mods, full of quitters, cheaters that play teamed on FFA, no ranks, no moderators, long time waiting for a game, only 4 players...it is what it is. I started playing Civ with Civ Revolution, on Ps3. I managed to get the third best ranking on my ladder, until the day the servers closed. But that was a far more simply game. Meaby one day a get a Pc a try on the big leages. I give you my thanks for all the usefull information you share with the community (in all your vids). Glhf

12:12 this little decision that cost the hole game… Congrats for your performance though! It was an awesome game! There was another incredible tournament this week, the noob Civ Giveaway. It would be very entertaining if you could do a video analysis of that tournament, pointing out some mistakes in a fun way. It was also a very entertaining tournament.
@HersonCivАй бұрын
It's not really possible to do a serious analysis of the CivGive tbh, since it wasn't really a serious competition. Most players were just trying to achieve their own personal objectives, like conquering a specific player or doing odd tasks which were requested of them by donations. The main game this year was also played on the True Start Locations Earth map, as the main priority for the event was to simply be entertaining, not to have serious competition. Instead of each player trying to win, their main priority was just to drive viewer engagement and get more donations for charity.
@brendonwang4177Ай бұрын
What decision did he make and why did it cost the game?
@JackCahiIIАй бұрын
@@brendonwang4177 It wasn’t a mistake, it was just a risk. He decided to prioritize building a holysite before the Etemenanki wonder. Thanks to that he lost the wonder by one turn. Etemenanki would have been broken with his pantheon, significantly increasing the production and science of his empire. Without many industrial zones, and campus buildings, in the mid late game he couldn’t properly produce good units and pursue a win condition.
@brightwolfzАй бұрын

16:35 can you explain how shift entering movement works and why it loses the prod overflow?
@HersonCivАй бұрын
It's possible to queue up a move by trying to move a unit to a tile while it has 0 movement points left. Then, as the turn rolls over, you just spam shift+enter and it'll immediately end your turn, executing all of the unit movements you have queued up in the process. This will allow you to move slightly sooner than spamming right-click as the turn rolls over would. Afterwards, you can then un-end your turn and finish your turn as normal. If you press shift+enter to forcibly end your turn while you have unspent production overflow in a city and nothing queued up, it deletes all of the currently banked production overflow in that city. This can be avoided in most cases by simply using the in-game production queue feature to ensure that your cities have something queued up, but I wanted to dump the overflow in Rouen into Etemenanki, which I couldn't queue up since I didn't have it unlocked yet (I was unlocking it on the same turn I wanted to move my unit).
@FlyingThunderАй бұрын
@@HersonCiv i didnt knew shift ending is somehow faster than right clicking and i also didnt knew shift ending deletes overflow even if you dont actually end your turn. wild how this game works.

I’ve been wanting to play zulu but I’m not quite sure how to make it work. It’s bonuses are really just good for early rushes which aren’t really optimal for this meta so I was just wondering how you could make it work.
@pikazilla6405Ай бұрын
Pretty much no way to make it work other than just being so much better than everyone else you make no simming bonuses work. Good players make civs like zulu work but only because they tend to just stomp the lobbies they're in. It would work well in a tournament like this where there are actual incentives for early game war but in typical ffa it's just not consistent or recommended.
@you741sings12 күн бұрын
you don't rly sim to first with zulu, in ffa he's kinda just meant to get to mili academies and run people down with just far more armies than anyone else can make.

Shift+enter deletes overflow? What? How do you end the turn without building if you don't use timer then?
@HersonCivАй бұрын
It only immediately deletes the overflow that you currently have banked up from the previous turn, and only if you have nothing queued up in a city when you press shift+enter. Say you have a city that has 11 production and a monument being produced that's 29/30 on turn 20. Turn 21 starts, and you have 10 production overflow in that city. If you press shift+enter before queuing something up in that city, that 10 overflow will be deleted, even if you subsequently un-end your turn and add something to the production queue while it's still turn 21. However, say you have a city that has 15 production per turn and 2 production overflow on turn 20. If you don't queue anything up in that city and press shift+enter, it'll instantly delete the 2 overflow you currently have banked (even if you un-end your turn afterwards), but you'll still have the full 15 production overflow at the start of turn 21 from not producing anything.

To be fair, the Pantheon for wonder production wouldn't be ideal anyway, but both delaying Writing and not usint the builder to chop Etemenanki (since getting the second sugar online asap really wasn't that important) was negligence on your part.
