Ive been brainstorming for a whule on how to make a jacket out of my wool blanket and itnwas turning out into THIS ONE. WOW. Great minds think a like eh? Hahaha😂

Inspiring video! Two "Problems" 1) Obtaining the dense wool like cavalry twill or heavier type and 2) getting the wife to stop quilting to make me one. I can see a little. I do think you would need an upholstery -commercial machine to sew the heavier fabric. Cheers. I'm sure you can obtain high quality Harris Tweed in the UK, but here in the USA not so easy. Cheers and Happy New Year

My family used to make their own jumpers out of sheep 🐑 wool . But they would spen the wool natural, keeping the oil in the wool. Great jumpers. From Mayo Ireland 🇮🇪

When I made mine I sacrificed an old jumper as my pattern and made my smock over my jumper so it became an inner layer. that said I had to add a strip at the bottom as it was too short. I like it.

Good day to you sir. I first watched Lonny's video and he mentioned this video. So I watched it and went out today and bought that pattern. I'm looking forward to making one of those. You did an amazing job! I noticed that Mors Kochanski was wearing one of yours in that picture. Congrats on supporting one of the greats. You must be honoured? Thank you for this great video. It was very well made - especially the short intermission clips. Keep up the good work!

Inspiring! You are a talented man! I like your designs far better than any I have seen so far by far. One question though - When you sewed the non wool material to the wool material did you have to use a "walking foot" (what it's called in the States), on your sewing machine? I know when sewing all wool material one does.

Thanks for the compliment my friend. Glad you liked the video. I just used the standard foot.
