Jason Statham is getting back in the ROUGH action scene with his new film A Working Man, written by Sylvester Stallone. In this thrilling action film, Statham is about to Take Down Human Traffickers.
A Working Man is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by David Ayer, who wrote the script with Sylvester Stallone which is based on the 2014 novel Levon's Trade by Chuck Dixon.
Statham plays Levon Cade, an ex-Royal Marines agent, who leads a peaceful life as a construction worker. However, Levon is forced to use his old set of skills to find his boss's teenage daughter Jenny, who had been kidnapped by human traffickers, and soon uncovers a vast conspiracy of corruption and government agents involvement in human trafficking.
The supporting cast includes David Harbour, Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, and Noemi Gonzalez. The film is produced by David Ayer, Chris Long, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, John Friedberg, and Bill Block, with cinematography by Shawn White and music by Jared Michael Fry.
Sylvester Stallone originally developed an adaptation of the Chuck Dixon novel 'Levon's Trade' as a television series with Balboa Productions. In January 2024, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film from Black Bear International, who sold the film to independent distributors elsewhere. The film was put into development in part due to its potential for subsequent entries given the number of novels written by Dixon in the series.
"A Working Man" is scheduled to be released in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios on March 28, 2025. While specific international release dates are yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated to be available on Amazon Prime Video in various regions following its theatrical run.
