I have AFT on Kléber....but I almost never farm 15km away and I have a full concealment build. I took AFT because I play Marceau more and I only have one 21 points french commander and that commander happen to be the Kléber one. (I will probably re-specs that commander if I get a second one)

Once in ranked on a flank by myself got pushed by a Montana and a Halland. Killed the Halland then got 160k damage farming the Monty from 13km. After about two minutes he gave up and didn’t even try shooting at me. Never even gotten close to that damage from just one ship in any other ship.

I like to run aft or rangemod kléber and annoy 2-3bb's for 10min where they try to hit me and miss all the time. Yes this is abusing bad players, no it isn't optimal, but damn is it fun to see them miss again and again. I found that if you go quarter speed bbs like to shoot you even at max range. Also, I usually first ambush a dd and try to get low hp for AR+making the bbs salivate at the 2-5k hp, makes them want to shoot you even at long range, then again, I don't like pushing in and prefer longer range farming, that's where play styles diverge i guess.

I am convinced that the Reddit DD player base of this game has the following steps when playing this game: Step 1: Pick Sherman / Fletcher / Gearing Step 2: rush to cap / middle of the map Step 3: Deploy smoke for no reason so nobody can see anything Step 4: sit inside the smoke, do nothing Step 5: get radared or hydroed Step 6: Died Step 7: blame the team for everyone who didn’t yolo and die before them

i've been playing it a bit, I don't like to review ships until i have at least 30-50 games in them. overall I think it's decent, and does somewhat nullify kleb legmod because the torps do like 30% more damage and are faster. but leg kleb has the nutty torp reload and is 10 knots faster for 4 minutes at a time...

Yeah detonation is clearly one of the most retarded 'features' of this game forcing players to waste money buying a flag that some ships don't need to waste their money on. It's also super stupid since one of the few detonations that actually happened was a BB (HMS Hood but also at Jutland) but it seems bbs in the game don't need it even though if anything they should need it MORE.
