Bought the ship based on this glowing review and literally the first set of torps I sent out dev struck a Halland lol. Very insightful review, you cover a lot of things that most other videos on the Alvaro don't. Pretty much all of them just say "uhh it's clunky, it has mediocre DPM, and ok concealment, C tier" without talking about any of the smaller details.

I think it's one of the rare DDs where dazzle is actually good, because you like short engagements. I've had a noticeable increase in WR in Alvaro with Dazzle and would replace fearless brawler by it.

I'm thinking about getting the Alvaro or the Hayate. To be honest, the Alvaro sounds like the more fun boat. Hayate is kind of a safe choice though, it's just the standard play style. In any case, very good video to have a comparison!

@@timvias alvaro is way more fun but honestly I think its straight up better and maybe even easier to play than Hayate

Late to the party, but how do you compare this to regolo? Though you don’t have a burst in that, the sap into dds seems to be insane, like 6-7k salvos and then still pretty solid he with a solid fire chance. Especially now with the range “buff”

i think regolo is a pretty strong destroyer, takes room temp IQ to play so the playerbase thinks it sucks. I do however think range mod is bait

i think instead of fearless i'm going to go for dazzle the thought process is that it's supposed to be funny if you do burst only while kiting (also it's big and fat and i think it'll help with survivability)

Yeah, Bazan is strong now. But, the reason they are still buffing it really is just the average server stats. If you look at WR, or even DMG done somehow, Bazan is at the very bottom of the pile. How? How are people still doing so badly in it? I don't know. There are just some mysteries in the universe that will never be solved, I guess. The best explanation I can give is that coal DDs are not played by good players, but quite the opposite. Coal DDs seem to be picked mostly by people who are brain damaged BB mains who have never played a DD in their life, already have gotten all the BBs for coal as well, so now they think it's a good time to try their hand at DD game play - and what easier way to do that than to buy a T10 DD for coal? That's why all the coal DDs have terrible stats, even the OP ones like Sherman or Marceau. Khaba actually has the highest WR, and that's probably because a lot of DD mains got it when it was still tech tree and still play it.

It looks decent and fun. I just can’t understand why someone would play this over a Kleber which imo does this except better. I don’t have either yet so maybe I am wrong.

@@somersthesunless1874 because Alvaro 1v1s destroyers a lot better, has decent torps and a smoke. Harder to play, but there are games in kleb like cv games where you're not even allowed to play the game. Alvaro also has a lot more base dpm
