Something not mentioned is that the heal is also able to heal back a greater percentage of normal pen damage back, 65% instead of 50% as found on most battleships like on Ohio so the Panamerican BBs need to take a lot less damage before being able to use their heals to full effect.

That’s not always true about nerfing after release, that is more true about other game(Helldivers 2 for example) because my Rhode island is still packing a punch and Essex is still OP and Cassandra is still strong and Gdańsk line is strong. So I see a lot of examples where WG sells you op ship and still stays strong.

I love the new battleships, but I am concerned that they will make the German BBs completely useless. Of course, this is a highlight reel and maybe the ships will be very difficult to play for normal players, but I think that either these ships will have to be nerfed post-release or the German BBs will have to be buffed if Wargaming wants the German BBs to still be a real option for players and not just worse ships that already don't fit the current high-tier meta.

German BBs were obsolete for a LONG time until they introduced the Scheliffen line split. There is zero point in playing GK or Preussen unless you want to meme. The only BB line that didn't fall too hard from powercreep over these years were the American BBs. I guess WG doesn't want to anger the freeaboos, but they're still versatile at their jobs even after all these years (even if there are better alternatives to the Montana).

All their games are going this way. Look at wot pc and blitz. Blitz is filled with a bunch of fantasy tanks. They ditched historical accuracy a long time ago. Used to be that tanks weight and horsepower was accurate. Now they buff and increase the Tigers engine hp and it's weight.

15:20 seems like because of the bigger secondaries are able to fire higher than the usual secondaries, thus they would firing with overlapping angle. The closest example of it, I think, is the 90mm secondaries on Napoli.

6:50 this is exactly what WG wants. They release totally broken op ships, everyone want to have them asap and many are willing to spend money to speed up the process to get them. When all the sheeps are milked they nerf the ships gradually because the next op release is around the corner. Classical powercreep strat to squeeze out just a bit more money of the players. These "rushed" releases are calculated and fully intentional.

I noticed a problem that stems from this If a certain type of ship is introduced, its compared with similar ships as we all know, if its good we ask the point of the previous ship, and if its bad then we ask the point of this ship compared to the others. I remember secondaries having different characteristics making them unique. French had Raw DPM, Americans had fire starting potential and accuracy, Germans had pen and range, IJN had AP (which was removed), and Atlantico specifically had big gun secs. What happened to all that diversity?

The moskva was more powerful at early access for doubloons then got nerfed after release. I can't remember the name of the battleship as I never bought it. Basically pick any ship that had a doubloon release and it's been nerfed shortly after free release.

Hi there, nice video PQ as always, love to see it ! For this line, I think, and that's only my personnal view of the thing, that WG is actually trying to force people to push more ! The fact they release such powerfull secondary ships (appart for getting money) is to force people go in there, in the fight, and not juste install a tent on the A line. By the way, just like the french battleships, secondaires turrets have a disgusting max HP pool. They died very quickly (even against AP shells).

You should do colombo with legendary. Also add in the dispersion mod in slot three. Despite having 18.9 range she is about as accurate as if not more than montana. Overall on that build she gets 13% total dispersion buff with both dispersion mods. With this it allows her to be quite terriffying. She has the ability now to consistantly delete ships.

Saw it a few times in games and was like holy crap, it's a floating fortress with guns everywhere. But the one thing about it that's glaring. Look at how long that hull is. It's absolutely a sub, torp boat, and CV's wet dream with skip bombers and torps. It's AA numbers seem pretty strong. But still, this thing is going to be a damage pinata for torps as many will try to play it like a Schlif and press W and never unpress so expect it to be spotted most of the game.

Honestly, Atlantico was arguably the best tier for tier secondary brawler in the game till these came along. The previous update made her even stronger with the range boost(now perfectly matches her detection, no more 0.2km gap) and now the new, better pan-am version of lutjens will make her even more nuts for a tier VIII brawler.

it is a bit misleading on your part to not mention the nerf like you did for the buffs, the main battery reload went from 30s to 33s, also the combat instructions went down from 45s to only 30s, so yes it got some buffs, and yes it is still a very good ship but there were still some nerfs. 24:40 it always used to be like that, they just dropped the pace this year bcs of lack of art department i assume, so we got a ton of filler updates. last year (12months) we had 2 updates without new lines, the christmas & anniversary updates (as it always had been at that point, no new lines in these updates), in the remaining 10 months we got 6 new lines: louisiana, british subs, san martin, gdansk, castilla (back to back to back to back january - august) and then bungo in october. british subs overlapped with louisiana & san martin EA, it was during the same period of time. this year we got significantly less lines, as well as smaller lines, the essex & libertad line only contain 3 ships, cassard line are DDs so much easier to model as theyre smaller and cerberus line is just a bunch of slightly altered already existing british ships for the most part.

The mainline German BBs had very little going for it and now there is absolutely no reason to play them. Hannover was the only reason to grind that line and now Libertad gets a better F-key a tier lower, with secondaries FAR better than even Hannover, rivaling or even better than Schlieffen. If Libertad releases like this, the fat German BBs will be fully extinct.

This ship is being dangled to the huge unskilled SA population on the NA server - high ping, low frame rate, slow load, but they don't have to aim those secondaries, now you don't even need to get into range, so every terrible position is rewarded. Can't ask them to angle, just go straight in, or run away, doesn't matter, these secondary angles don't require you to do anything. Don't worry about being citadeled, we'll change the armor so you can just W key. Just log on, play this mystical nonsense barge, and keep the player count on NA above water. Because it is desperately low...

Ahh, face it: they hate Germans. Hindenburg - powercrept by new, gimmicky CAs Preußen - kneecapped by having bad German dispersion Schlieffen - powercrept by this new BB line Z-52 - powercrept by newer, gimmicky DDs with Radars and heals. Even with fast reloading torpedoes, they don't have any range behind them making them easy indicators of where Z-52 is. Not to mention, their AP arms at 21mm, making them suited to fight only a select few other DDs. Either you get overpens or anemic HE damage Elbing - has never been relevant to begin with, especially since it's a DD that doesn't DD. It's essentially a citadel-less CL minus the utility of Radar or Hydro Richtoffen - kneecapped by having basically paper planes, essentially forcing them to go for extremely isolated targets. Can't go for vulnerable targets in a swarm U-2501 - kneecapped by having only 6 front tubes and nothing else The only real good German ship remaining in the game is U-4501. Z-42 is still kinda hanging in there as a good anti-DD boat but loses out against planes. If they want German ships to be relevant again, give them faction-specific improved AP angles to compensate for bad dispersion. I'm certain they won't give German HE a boost since the penetration is already cracked, so at least give the AP some better penetration angles since that's their only reliable form of damage.

I thought german bbs already get buffed dispersion. They should now have same dispersion formula as usn ships. They should also generally have higher alpha for same caliber guns and also have pretty good ballistics. Shlieffen has hydro and torps, perfect for pushing in. Seems decent enough still. Hindenburg has 4 heals base for better than average survivability with all the other features like 6km hydro and improved HE pen. Elbing could still be pretty good, strong ap and literally best dispersion in the game (leading to better effective dpm). Thought people liked having very good dispersion. I won't comment on subs and cvs. So it seems german ships are still pretty decent/good in the game.

This Pan-Am line with its captain is the final nail in the coffin for Germany in WoWs. They could aswell remove everything german from the game and you wouldnt really notice cause its utterly redundant now. Either this or some real effort into buffs like we ve seen on Jinan for example. But i highly doubt that will happen. Jinan got buffed with effort cause an entire market was unhappy with it. German boomer whales on the other hand keep pumping money into the game even tho their nation in this game is a sad junkyard...

@@exarex9697 The buff to the German dispersion pattern is that they follow US dispersion. That did somewhat improve the hit rate, but with guns as wildly inaccurate as German guns, you still only hit about 5 shells out of 12 from 17km on a GK - and not all of them are Penetrations either due to the wide dispersion. On the Preußen it's slightly better, but you don't reap much benefit from it since you're going to be firing only up to 8 shells per 21-ish seconds from about 20km - that opens you up to a lot of counterfire from enemy BBs, and the problem with that is that German deck armor ain't good at stopping plunging fire. Even with their turtleback armor, you still get citadel'd by Yamato and Montana at close ranges, so you don't even see much benefit from the armor layout either. Hindenburg gets 4 heals, 3 of which you can't use as soon as the Yamato figures that you're a slow moving target with an armor layout perfectly suited to getting citadel'd by plunging fire. The problem with the Elbing is that it takes up a DD slot to effectively play a CL minus the utility. CLs minus the utility are borderline useless if they can't deal enough DPM to either scare targets away or delete them entirely. DDs are supposed to capture targets and take buffs and spot - that's their best use for in battle. The Elbing does none of those effectively. Even if it does have the best dispersion and great penetration angles, it's still not taking caps and it can't fight other DDs. German CVs have paper planes, and even with all skills dumped towards plane defenses, you can only get about 1-2 attack off per launch or risk shredding your reserves. It's easy to get deplaned as a German CV if you're not careful. The subs are kinda decent, but that's not taking into consideration that they're all likely to get powercrept in the future with releases of other SS lines from other nations.

@@briansantos1700 idk if you are just trolling or not. So both usn bbs and german bbs have the same dispersion formula but somehow just because they are german guns means they become inaccurate? Bruh. I would have at least agreed if you said usn bbs mostly slot a strong accuracy upgrade in slot 6 while german bbs usually opt for secondaries instead of main gun accuracy and that makes the difference. If german bbs also build for main gun accuracy, I think their hit rates wouldn't be that much different. And also yes german bbs can be citadeled at close range but that requires a very precise shot into its cheek armor that is unlikely to actually work. Most of the time, shooting the belt armor, the turtle back absolutely works to prevent all citadels. Hindenburg has pretty poor maneuverability, sure, but that does not automatically mean it gets citadeled all the time with plunging fire. At long ranges, it is likely to just eat lots of pen dmg but likely not citadel dmg and that is where that extra heal can come in handy. Actually I think elbing can fight other dds somewhat okish. It has improved ap that can fuse on an angled dd and do lots of dmg and has 25mm mid section plating that can shatter the HE of a lot of dds if they don't run ifhe. And then with the leg upgrade, it can have a 20% speed boost.

What ships replace the handy? I absolutely love the hindy. I'm a dead on 50%er so I'm not that good, yet i average 120k dmg in the windy which is huge for me. I'll be playing and look up and my damage is at 150k and it doesn't feel like much.

Rip Germany in WoWs 2015-2024 This Pan-Am line with its captain is the final nail in the coffin. WG could aswell remove everything german from the game and you wouldnt really notice cause its utterly redundant now.

Columbo is now the best BB in the game with its legendary upgrade lol. Any cruiser you shoot at even angled is either going to get dev struck for 51k damage even when angled or your smacking bbs with over 50k damage every volley. Its so broken 😂😂😂

Weegee is great at innovating ways for players to *not* play the game and just let the game play itself. Autodamage enjoying BBabies need a way to press W and win in a 4v1 while AFK, and apparently Schlieffen wasn't good enough for that.
