Every bit of this video showed how greatly God has blessed your family ♥ When the video showed baby chicks hopping down a small step from the hen house while following their mother, the first little chick just laid there after landing on the ground. Then the second chick hopped down the step, then got up and walked. The first one saw that his sibling was okay, so he got up too. This reminded me that not only do we all need the Lord, but we need each other ~ for support, encouragement, and prayer. Then this was today's Bible verse in my email ~ If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. - 2 Corinthians 11:30

Also canned turkey stew yesterday that was left over from thanksgiving. I made &stored ghee. I bought some store bought at $13.00! Just to .try it out. Way too expensive You are very industrious and you have done well for your husband and children. We live in an era of technological advancement and change. Who would have thought we would be watching video streamed through our phones with an app called you tube. And some are making money by it. This is the beginning of a cultural revolution. I am alone now except for my wonderful son and his wife, whom I absolutely adore. I have not been able to garden in years due to physical limitations but I do cook from scratch. No packaged stuff for me! And everyone loves my cooking because of that. I share with 3 other friends who don't drive or cook anymore. Sharing the gifts that the Lord has given me. I swear it is a lost art to work and play these days even with some adults ( as I have my nose in my IPad…….). I have cleaned every inch of my home, shopped, cooked, prepped & decorated for two Thanksgivings beside meal prepping & canning for my son’s upcoming baby in December. I think I’ve canned and froze enough meals for a month straight!

This was lovely! It’s always so good to look back and see how the Lord has blessed us every year and how the kids change! I do something similar with our digital photos by creating a photo album for every year thru one of the online sites. That way we actually can SEE the photos from past years… my kids LOVE pulling the books out to look at them throughout the year.

Y'all are truly blessed, and we're blessed with all your "how to" videos, thanks so much Ruthann! We're homesteaders as well, not on as much of a grand scale as y'all are, but we're about 1/2 the size of your family, lol. I've canned so much from our large garden, mill my own bread, learned to make so many things from scratch, and blessed with so much this past year. Loved the apple harvest bit, did I miss a video on that? We have relatives that have 3 large, mature apple trees, that they don't want, so we pick them all. I'd love to have an apple press like in your video! We're also blessed with a large local dairy, with an endless supply of Jersey milk, for butter, buttermilk, and cream. We're thankful for all the bounty the Lord provides. Now I'm learning to make cheeses, and sourdough. Next Spring we're planning on getting our hoop coops and rabbit pens built, so that's exciting. Plus we had a local nursery map us out an Orchard plan. I'm hoping next year is even better, as we keep learning and adding more to our homestead, to become more self sustainable. ❤ Happy Holidays to you and your family! 🎄🦃🎂
