Thank you Ruth Ann lots of comments this video. I came across a video on starting sweet potato starts. I thought I'd remind you about it. Take care and blessings to you all.

About how many pounds of grapes can you fit in yiour juicer? I love learning through you and your childhood. Your grandmother and mother sound amazing. You are truly blessed.

You can easily put a nut or butterfly nut on that meat grinder and stop the handle from falling off. Love your videos!

The “National” food pyramid is disgusting. I just thrifted a roaster (influenced by you) and will be cooking 4 turkeys, canning the cooked meat and making broth this weekend. And I agree, vegetables are for vegetable stock! I didn’t like my homemade broth then saw you only add celery to a chicken broth and it was an ah-ha moment as to why I didn’t like my broth! My last batch didn’t have the veggies and it tasted like chicken broth just like it was supposed to!

Here is a possible way to thickened tomato products. Take some of your tomatoes and dehydrate them. Grind them into powder and add to your product allowing them to dehydrate for a few minutes until to your desired consistency.

thank you so much for your video! this is so valuable!! i put the tallow in my hair sometimes. just a tiny bit scrunched in. its very dry here in colorado 8,200' and very windy. i use the tallow just a little bit and sometimes just a few drops of lanolin too. the lanolin also is good for protecting the skin in wind and cold.

Ruthann, my mouth is WATERING at the sight of your 'ground' beef! We make (what our kids call DOG FOOD) for a sandwich spread, bc that's what it resembles! Chop/grind the meat (leftover roast &/or pot roast) mix in mayo & ketchup just enough to hold the meat together. Add in S & P, onion/garlic powders, pickle relish - whatever else you like, DELISH!!!!

My mom's neurologist told Mom and I that his mother used to make bone broth, pour some onto a cookie sheet, let it gel in the fridge. Then cut it into squares. Each day they would eat a small square each day. It helped their joints. 😊😊

These videos are better than taking a class because we can revisit and rewatch!! Seeing your family tapping maple trees made me wonder if you are tapping this year? YUM!! What a gift!!

Yay someone else does their own brown sugar I have made my own brown sugar for applications when my kiddo is cooking or for adding small things, but if I am making cookies or anything that takes brown sugar I am just putting in white sugar and molasses ... love seeing someone else doing this. I also love my brown sugar dark.

I’ve heard of other ladies making stock or broth, but I truly had no idea about the length of time and what they meant! This has taught me so much and now I need to find an old roaster like yours. What a treasure you have. Just love your videos. I learn from each one of them! Thank you, ~~QM ❤

My mom would take cooked meat and put it through the grinder like that and then grind an onion and pickles or olives. Sometimes add some celery or a pepper mix it all with mayo and make a sandwich spread. It was different every time.
