My cousin said the reason many Hmong people trend towards gangs is because of the absence of parents, strong family support, protection and poverty. Many Hmong people who came here were sent straight to low income areas. Parents were always gone trying to provide for their families with jobs that didn’t pay enough. They didn’t have anybody that could help steer them in the right direction and the area they lived in was dangerous. They join gangs as a means for support, family and protection.

Also back then when Hmong people arrive in America. Black, White, and Hispanic people keeps bullying the new kids that just arrive with no english. This was also a reason why hmong gangs started to form to fight back. But that was back then tho, now its more of what you said.

To answer the intro question as why the earliest Hmong folks became gangsters and why do they kill each other: #1: to protect each other from other race (white, black, and mexicans) because they were always bullied and so some had no choice but to get involved in gangs. #2: "WOMEN"...you guys might not think much about it but the girls caused many problems between the guys and eventually clicks got involved and shit gets escalated and here we are today. Some beef are still going on 😂 #3: "rap music"...it was prime gangster rap music (2Pac, Easy E, Deathrow, Ruthless etc) and this genre of music had a big influence on the early gangsters so they carried themselves like those rap artists in the earlier days.

I still love your story but I'm not a big fan of the sound effects. Many youtubers use sound effects to scare the listener. I love how you use to just scare me with your way/style of telling story and not sound effects. Like anyone can use sound effects to scare people but if you can make a story scary with just how you tell the story, it hits harder!

One factor instead of the basic ones is actually the women/mothers. Hmong women were really bad back then, littering, cheating etc... Also we had gangs/factions/group in Laos, China, etc... Just look at the people in Laos, they killed each other over boar tusk, over girlfriends, over towns/leadership. I mean so many hmong joined the communist side cuz they were victimized or hated the other side. Also back in the 1980s and 1980s hmong faced racism in the career and school sector. So those whom can't excel, resort to being the bad people.
