Yes flipping the gathering chains over does help, and you can try putting the points of both chains together that helps some too.

I was having the same trouble, just on a deere head. I timed my gathering chains side by side and took off the ear savers. it helped a lot!

there is no one in USA and is something you never wat to dive into as trust me having new paint in the yard just puts yorr bottom line to red fix aslong as you can Dear . Been there tried it went back to fixen old stuff thanks for your reply EM
