As you so correctly point out the primary audience for this keyboard is not people like yourself, keyboard enthusiasts or afficionados, but rather a segment who generally know little about keyboards as a whole. For them "tactile" doesn't have any bearing in the sense it does for you, it's not a way to describe the function of the underlying switch below the keycap, but rather it is something that is connected with the sense of touch. This is something which holds true for all keyboards, whether they are mechanical, membrane, or even micro switches or dome switches, it's all tactile. A touch keyboard, or an on screen keyboard on a phone or a tablet, is not a tactile experience though. So his marketing material, at least in this aspect, is spot on, just not for you. This is the problem with terms which means different things in different contexts. For instance, I have worked as an interaction designer specialized in tactile experiences, I have never once designed a keyboard. Tactility is an extreremly broad field. Thanks for your videos Hipyo, they informed me a lot when I bought my first proper modern mechanical keyboard, though the experience of trying to find good keyboards with an ISO layout is an absolute nightmare. Have you had any thoughts about making a video about ISO layouts and the best keyboards in various budget segments? I ended up going with the Keychron K10, as it was one of the very few full size keyboards with an ISO layout, that also had bluetooth and hotswap, that I could find.

Explain how this video is "populist" and "sensationalist" please, as I don't entirely understand how those words are meant to be taken. Also how was the approach unpleasant, just curious.

In my opinion, the video comes across as "populist" and "sensationalist" because it exaggerates the keyboard's flaws early on, even though the creator later admits that the product isn't that bad. This inconsistency undermines the critique and mirrors the very marketing tactics being criticized when he claims Ali exaggerated the keyboard's marketing. Additionally, the video seems to be leveraging Ali Abdaal's audience for views, which seems hypocritical given his critique of Ali for using his own audience. Lastly, considering the channel's size, the production quality-script, editing, etc.-doesn't meet the expectations I have for a KZbinr of this size.@@hypr7213

I think you forgot that not everybody who buys a keyboard is a massive nerd who wants to research keyboards.

How can a keyboard without a numpad be considered as the pinnacle of productivity tools ?

and this is why i love hypio! honest and consumer first approach to his reviews. what is more I actually believe the claim at the end of the video.. though... i clipped it, so.. WE WILL BE ON THE LOOKOUT HYPIO BEWARE!

The way Hipyo talked about foam in the keyboard (Well.. the lack of) made me remember there's thick fold of toilets paper inside my DREVO Blademaster TE... (It helped with the sound, you can try this if you struggle with foam.)

as a CURRENT Dr in UK I can tell you Hipyo that I bought a Nuphy75 and took it work and it blew everybody's minds - luddites the lot (including me)

Hears "productivity keyboard", sees no keypad. Leaves. That's how this should go. Forget numbers, just binding certain actions to those keys can massively increase workflow if you know how to.

I appreciate your video, Hipyo. The most expensive keyboard I own isn’t even my favorite. I think that influencers should branch out-but they should always stick to something they’re passionate about. It’s about integrity. $159 isn’t great for the keyboard. It ducked to watch his video about the failed brand but I’m glad he was honest about it.

The clips and inner "bracings" of the case look a lot like my Epomaker TH80 Pro Monet. Easy to open with the guitar pick style openers. Also the plate looks like mine.

Me seeing all the "cheap" keyboards was like your reaction to seeing the $5000 course.

Howdy Hey, Hipyo! Just wanted to say I love your content and all of your videos, your shorts and full length videos are some of the only videos I watch all the way through happily :D I look forward to more videos and wish you all the success.

Ali, we believe in second chances in this community. Acknowledging your mistakes then going back to the drawing board, doing your research, and actually creating a good product for a reasonable price. We believe in your productivity.

$160 sounds like MonsGeek M1W money to me. Full alu build, 75%, gasket mounted, great keycaps, *amazing* prelubed Piano Pro linear switches (I like them better than yellows), an awesome cable if you prefer that, and a lot of mod materials provided and foam preinstalled, it really doesn't cheap out on anything. I'm typing on one right now! Not sponsored.
