I've been watching your toy reviews for a long time and being frustrated because I could not leave a comment. I'm a grandmother with grown grandchildren, so toys are not really a thing in my life. I really liked the "treasure trash" challenge. It reminds me of the Tournament of Minds challenge I did in high school. We had to create a short play with various themes and restrictions, including how many people were in the play or on the stage at the same time. One part was the budget, which was AU$50 (about US$30?) for costumes, props, backdrop etc, with no help allowed from teachers or parents. We could have basic black clothes under/instead of a costume, and anything you'd find in a recycling bin was "free". So we had quite a lot of painted cardboard and similar materials in our little plays. We definitely exercised our minds and sustainability during those times, as well as team work (that was literally part of the scoring system, we almost won once but didn't really do the teamwork bit in one of the short challenges).

RECYCLING QUEEEEENNN!!!! Oh my God! This is sooo beautiful!!!! You are super talented!!! I've started following Ara's work since she started the cardboard house! She is really amazing! As for my favorite...it's really hard, but the carousel looks absolutely amazing! As a kid I'd probably ride once in each animal and still cry when I had to leave (LOL!) so I have to say that is my favorite!

I love that you added stuff from your stash! To me, the point of your "craft box" was to use up stash - you not only helped someone use up their excess, you used up yours. Seeing what little you had left, made me think of another idea: a whole circle of crafters agreeing to do this, the first one doing a box and sending to #2, who does a project, then sends all the leftovers + stuff from her stash to #3, and so on. It would be fun to see what items get passed on the longest - the ones people had the hardest time figuring out how to use. I could also see the #3 person watching the #2 person video before they get their box, and as the supplies unboxed, saying which supplies they hope get passed on. I could also see a craft project getting passed around: #1 comes up with idea, puts together the supplies, and sends it on to #2, who has to guess what the idea is, assemble 3 -5 things, pass it on to next one, and so on, until the project is "finished". Interesting to see how it would evolve.

This has given me the idea to box up a whole bunch of my art stuff and do a fun swapsy with my crafty friends. My art/craft area has been a piled up mess since I moved house. I made a barn out of a box in middle school and put straw in it and painted it and my teacher said I needed to use more imagination, what she didn't realize is I had NO artistic ability at all and I was amazed at my ability to do what I had accomplished. I loved my piece and so did my friends. She ruined my day when she said she would have liked to have seen me do more than just a barn, I never picked up art again. I love crafting but have lost all motivation to do it lately but your carousel is so GORGEOUS I'm blown away by your imagination and how you used the things you were sent and especially out of stuff that on its own isn't all that interesting e.g. cardboard. Last year there was a big secret santa exchange on costube which essentially became a giant collab between a whole bunch of costumers. I feel like it would be really cool to do something like that where a bunch of creators are arranged to send and receive a box (there are secret santa websites that would make randomizing who gets who easier?). Then we would have a lovely playlist of everyones resulting videos to see them create and discover new channels. Or you two could just continue to exchange. Id be down for that as well. Very cool project! I love the idea of using up these old supplies and discarded materials. Repainting the animals was so much fun. I'm partial to carousels (I'm the My Little Pony gal you chatted with the other day), but there is just something about the stage that draws me. As someone who has a 3D printer, the cord is probably plastic 3D printing filament and the next thing is the spool that the filament comes on. You get extras when you get to such a low amount of filament like that😅

Wow, amazing carnival crafts! You went all out with the theme, and it's a great display, very detailed. Does this mean we will see more of your miniature dollhouses and things in the future, because I'm here for it. I watch Bentley House Minis sometimes for miniature furniture tutorials, even though I mainly craft in 1/6 scale. I'm always looking for more dollhouse inspiration as I work on my own projects.

We need to start a craft meet simply for trading bits & bob's of things we've saved over the years. Companies should package things with the idea that they can be used for random craft projects. Kind of like some boxes are made to be turned into a cat playhouse.
